  • The first day of my son's new term of kindergartem life

    This morning I sent my son to kindergarten and accompany him to spend the first morning of the new term. We played the game named finding your parents by yourself.   Some mothers wore the same white clothes and headgear, then let babies to find their real mother. My son almost cried when I finished my personate, fortunately, he found me in time. I introduced some little babies to my son and made them to be friends next so as to let my son enjoy his school life in the following days.  We also played in the yard of the kindergarten and attended the piano class at their hall.  I knew my son had a good time with me because he ate a lot at lunch time.  But when it finished and I would go for work, the problem was coming.  He was cried aloud and didn't allow me to leave him.  I had no idea at that time until he fell asleep. It's so hard to be contrary to a baby's mind.

  • Are you a cicada, Mom?

    Today is a muggy day again. It’s terribly hot this summer in Shanghai.

    When I was making-up this morning, my son was sat up in bed and read a book. My face was running with sweat, it’s very hard to make-up. So I talked to myself: I'm simply melting. I'm simply melting. Suddenly my son said: Are you a cicada, Mom.  AHA, My son has rich imagination. Because the vibrant noise of a cicada sounds like someone say: I’m simply melting in Shanghai dialect.

    I gave my son a smile and a kiss. I didn’t feel hot any more.

  • Miaomiao's kindergarten life

    I realized delightedly that Miaomiao has started to make friends in kindergarten. He told me he had a good friend named Mingming, and he’s a boy. Miaomiao likes to play with him, they played “throw the handkerchief” together. Miaomiao also sang this song to me.  I’m so glad to find that Miaomiao has been entering into the kindergarten life bit by bit.

  • Miaomiao is starting kindergarten life

    Miaomiao attended kindergarten for the fist time on July 2nd . It looked he dislike to going there. I don’t know the reason, but his behavīor was highly emotional after he came back from kindergarten. He didn’t have any reason to cry, plagued me and did not let me to work, he woke up with crying in the mid-night. I really was worry about him.  What should I do?

  • International Children's day in 2007

    This International Children’s day in 2007 was my son’s third one that he has ever spent.  He is too young to ask us to celebrate these holidays for him. But as a mother, I have to consider these things for him because I think it’s his right.

    So I registered for him in a cartoon theme activity that was organized by Shanghai Haha TV. The venue was Daning international shopping mall. 

    On June 2nd, I took subway to get there with my son and his grandparents.  The day was overcast and cool, but it didn’t affect miaomiao’s (my son’s nick name) emotion. He still felt so happy to go out.

    When we got to the destination, the activity had begun. There were a lot of games on the count where they enclosed. Miaomiao couldn’t wait for joining in every game immediately. He crept in Winnie’s tent to play with other children.  Antenna babies are so cute and famous, Miaomiao wanted to be a member of them, so he was wearing their clothes to pretend as an antenna baby.  There were a lot of babies at fishing area, Miaomiao was interested in fishing, so he’s like to join in the game. The winner of the game was the one who can use the plastic pole with magnet to troll most plastic fish.  Miaomiao is a good fisher, he caught a fish by his left hand, then used the pole to attract the fish. He broke the rule, but he didn’t know and mind that, he still had a good time with these games.

    After the activity starting half an hour, a cartoon animal named Deft Tiger was coming to the count, played with babies. Children were very happy, thronged to see the tiger and took pictures with him.  Deft Tiger is a very kind tiger, he loves children, would like to play and take photos with babies. Miaomiao wanted Deft Tiger to hold him up, but the tiger had a too big head to hug anyone. Miaomiao is a good boy, he could understand that, so he didn't insist on his request. Even in the days that followed, he said “Deft Tiger can’t hold me up because of his big head, I can’t blame him. it’s very kind of him. I like the tiger very much, he is a good tiger.” After the activity, we had a big lunch because we were all tired and hungry. I wish Miaomiao could remember all joyous time, and he could live happily for ever.
