NBA refers to the National Basketball Association.in 1949,the National Basketball League (NBL),formed in 1937,and another popular competing league,the Basketball Association of America(BAA),joined together to form the National Basketball Association(NBA),Originally,it had 27terms,in 1994 two news NBA terms joined the League. The Basketball Hall of Fame is located in Springfield Massachusetts, which is the birthplace of basketball .it is dedicated to the game's inventor,Dr.James Naismith.The purpose of the Hall is to honor basketabll's greatest players, coaches,terms and contributors.Dr.Nsismith died in 1939,three years after basketball formally became an Olympic sport in 1936.
