    2007-07-22 11:05:27

    Surrounding you are angels,
They are there to guide your path,
    If weakness overcomes you,
They'll give you strength if you will ask.

    They are your protection
    When
life seems too hard to bear,
And though you feel alone at times,
    The angels ,they are there.

    Their faces may be hidden
And their voices you might not hear,
But they are ALWAYS with you,
Through your laughter or your tears.

    They'll walk along beside you,
They'll guide your steps along the way,
They'll comfort you and hold you,
    Protect you night and day.

They'll hold to your hand tightly,
They'll not ever let it go,
And they'll gently lead you forward,
    Taking each step very slow.

    For even as you slumber,
    They watch closely over you;
    They are there beside you
In each and every thing you do.

    When life is overwhelming,
And your spirit has grown tired,
Know they'll be there for you,
    To uplift and to inspire.

And when you're torn and lonely,
And you see no hope ahead,
Know that they will nourish you,
    Your spirit will be fed.

And if there comes a time in life
That your heart has been broken,
Hear the words, "I'm here, my child,"
And know your angel has spoken.

For even in the darkest hour,
When all of hope seems gone,
They'll give you strength to live your
    life,
    And desire to go on.

And if your faith in Heaven,
    Should ever fade away,
    They'll help renew your spirit,
And help you find your way.

Even though you're ever filled with doubt,
    About the
    life you live,
Know that they are there to give you
    All that they can give.

For you see, the Father sent them,
Because to Him, you mean so much,
That He sent them "just for you," my friend,
    And your
    life, they will touch.

    They will always be here,
    They will "never" leave your side;
And upon their strength and guidance,
    You always may rely.

    Take comfort in their guidance,
    Draw strength from up above,
And know that their sweet presence,
Is God's precious gift of love.

      ARIES (Mar. 21- April 20)

You might be lucky enough to reach your fitness goal by simply cutting out bread and taking up jogging. Most Aries have a high rate of metabolism, and they love going fast. But it's difficult for you to be patient. Just remember, Aries: If you keep this up, you'll look extra hot for summer.

      TAURUS (Apr. 21 - May 21)

Dieting is tough on you, dear Taurus. You love food, especially sweets, and while you're not lazy, exercising is NOT your favorite pastime. For you, a diet plan involving smaller meals allowing a few sweets, coupled with yoga, Tai Chi, and/or a 15-minute walk each day could slim you down - surely but slowly.

      GEMINI (May 22 - June 21)

The Twins go like racehorses, and operate mostly on nervous energy. Therefore, a diet/exercise program that relies less on speed and more on building strength, such as protein and weight training, could generate sufficient endurance to see you through hours of beach volleyball.

      CANCER (June 22 - July 22)

You love to cook, Cancer, and to sample your wares while preparing them! Avoid temptation by adopting a nutritional program involving pre-measured, prepared meals. For exercise, try yoga and aerobics videos at home alone. You're not yet comfortable scantily clad in front of others.

      LEO (July 23 - Aug. 22)

If you try to become slim and fit overnight, Leo, you're in danger of failure, because you'll surely cheat. You're in a hurry to look your very best, but you enjoy food too much to cut your calorie intake too low. Be patient and take it slow. Taking up running or swimming might help.

      VIRGO (Aug. 23 - Sept. 23)

Health and fitness probably aren't much of a problem for you, Virgo. You don't put on weight easily, and you're conscientious about fitness. For variety, try another dietary regimen and a new exercise program. It might make more of a difference than you'd think.

      LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23)

Balance is your keyword - and when striving for fitness, remember that, Libra. You might work out like an Olympian one moment, and totally quit the next, scarfing down sweets and vegging out in front of the TV. Adopt a program that's reasonable. You'll be more likely to succeed.

      SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22)

When you work towards health and fitness, Scorpio, you're capable of cutting down to just enough to keep you alive. But if you do what many Scorpios do to stay fit - embrace the martial arts - you'll need to eat more. You'll never get that black belt if you're starving.

      SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21)

You're athletic, Sag, and are usually pretty fit. But you probably eat a lot as well, and in spite of your activities, you probably did gain weight over the winter. Avoid weight training and concentrate on running, swimming, and doing the treadmill. For food: concentrate on fruits and salads.

      CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20)

You alternate between eating hardly at all and feasting on gourmet foods - and you almost never find time to exercise with your busy work schedule. However, in summer, the pull of the beaches may be too strong to resist for the Sea Goat. Change your habits. Eat healthy. Walk at least twice a day - perhaps to and from the office.

      AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19)

Adventure is your game - and that includes your fitness programs. Exotic foods from faraway places are especially appealing to the Water Bearer, and any outlandish sort of exercise seems the perfect way for you to get in shape. For summer fitness, indulge in lighter faire from around the world, and try a group exercise program to feed your love of people.

      PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20)

Your biggest challenge is that you tend to retain water. To increase your fitness level, Pisces, avoid excess salt - and, oddly enough, drink plenty of water. Concentrate on fruits and vegetables, and for exercise, yoga by far suits your temperament well. A walk each day would also make a huge difference. Remember: you are ruled by the feet - so splurge on some great walking shoes!

  • Best time in life

    2007-07-13 13:28:18

The ups and downs of life may seem to have no predictable plan. But scientists know there are very definite patterns that almost all people share. Even if you've passed some of your "prime", you still have other prime years to experience in the future. Certain important primes seem to peak later in life.

When are you smartest? From 18-25, according to I.Q. scores; but you're wiser and more experienced with increasing age.

You're sharpest in your 20's; around 30, memory begins to decline, particularly your ability to perform mathematical computations. But your I.Q. for other tasks climbs. Your vocabulary at age 45, for example, is three times as great as when you graduated from college. At 60, your brain possesses almost four times as much information as it did at age 21.

This trade-off between sharpness and wisdom has led psychologists to suggest that "maturity quotients"(M.Q.) be adopted for adults.

When are you happiest? You have the best physical sense of yourself from 15 to 24; the best professional sense from 40 to 49.

Before age 24, we believe that our happiest years are yet to come; over 30,we believe that they're behind us. A National Health Survey agrees: After age 30, we "become more realistic and do not view happiness as a goal in itself. If we maintain our health, achieve professional and emotional goals, then happiness, we feel, will follow".

When are you most creative? Generally between 30 and 39, but the peak varies with different professions.

Mozart wrote a symphony and four sonatas by age eight, and Mendelssohn composed his best known work A Midsummer Night's Dream, at 17, but most of the great music was written by men between 33 and 39.

Though the peak in most fields comes early-most Nobel prizewinners did their top research in their late 20's and 30's-creative people continue to produce quality work throughout their lives. For the "well-conditioned mind", there is no upper limit.

  • All you remember---孩子

    2007-07-08 11:05:50

All you remember about your child being an infant is the incredible awe you felt about the precious miracle you created. You remember having plenty of time to bestow all your wisdom and knowledge. You thought your child would take all of your advice and make fewer mistakes, and be much smarter than you were. You wished for your child to hurry and grow up.

All you remember about your child being two is never using the restroom alone or getting to watch a movie without talking animals. You recall afternoons talking on the phone while crouching in the bedroom closet, and being convinced your child would be the first Ivy League1 college student to graduate wearing pullovers at the ceremony. You remember worrying about the bag of M&M's melting in your pocket and ruining your good dress. You wished for your child to be more independent.

All you remember about your child being five is the first day of school and finally having the house to yourself. You remember joining the PTA and being elected president when you left a meeting to use the restroom. You remember being asked "Is Santa real?" and saying "yes" because he had to be for a little bit longer. You remember shaking the sofa cushions for loose change, so the toothfairy could come and take away your child's first lost tooth. You wished for your child to have all permanent teeth.

All you remember about your child being seven is the carpool schedule. You learned to apply makeup in two minutes and brush your teeth in the rearview mirror because the only time you had to yourself was when you were stopped at red lights. You considered painting your car yellow and posting a "taxi" sign on the lawn next to the garage door. You remember people staring at you, the few times you were out of the car, because you kept flexing your foot and making acceleration noises. You wished for the day your child would learn how to drive.

All you remember about your child being ten is managing the school fundraisers. You sold wrapping paper for paint, T shirts for new furniture, and magazine subscrīptions for shade trees in the school playground. You remember storing a hundred cases of candy bars in the garage to sell so the school band could get new uniforms, and how they melted together on an unseasonably5 warm spring afternoon. You wished your child would grow out of playing an instrument.

All you remember about your child being twelve is sitting in the stands during baseball practice and hoping your child's team would strike out fast because you had more important things to do at home. The coach didn't understand how busy you were. You wished the baseball season would be over soon.

All you remember about your child being fourteen is being asked not to stop the car in front of the school in the morning. You had to drive two blocks further and unlock the doors without coming to a complete stop. You remember not getting to kiss your child goodbye or talking to him in front of his friends. You wished your child would be more mature.

All you remember about your child being sixteen is loud music and undecipherable lyrics screamed to a rhythmic beat. You wished for your child to grow up and leave home with the stereo.

All you remember about your child being eighteen is the day they were born and having all the time in the world.

And, as you walk through your quiet house, you wonder where they went and you wish your child hadn't grown up so fast.

  • Look what you find along the way

    2007-07-05 13:06:10

If you have ever been discouraged because of failure, please read on.

For often, achieving what you set out to do is not the important thing. Let me explain.

Two brothers decided to dig a deep hole behind their house. As they were working, a couple of older boys stopped by to watch.

"What are you doing?" asked one of the visitors.

"We plan to dig a hole all the way through the earth!" one of the brothers volunteered excitedly.

The older boys began to laugh, telling the younger ones that digging a hole all the way through the earth was impossible.

After a long silence, one of the diggers picked up a jar full of spiders, worms and a wide assortment of insects. He removed the lid and showed the wonderful contents to the scoffing visitors.

Then he said quietly and confidently, "Even if we don't dig all the way through the earth, look what we found along the way!"

Their goal was far too ambitious, but it did cause them to dig. And that is what a goal is for-to cause us to move in the direction we have chosen; in other words, to set us to digging!

But not every goal will be fully achieved. Not every job will end successfully. Not every relationship will endure. Not every hope will come to pass. Not every love will last. Not every endeavor will be completed. Not every dream will be realized.

But when you fall short of your aim, perhaps you can say, "Yes, but look at what I found along the way! Look at the wonderful things which have come into my life because I tried to do something!"

It is in the digging that life is lived. And I believe it is joy in the journey, in the end, that truly matters.

    2007-06-27 20:37:54

        ARIES (Mar. 21 - Apr. 20)

Never mind your job descrīption, your real job is to make your boss look good. If you're egotistical or otherwise have a burning need to get credit for your efforts, it's only a matter of time before you butt heads with your Aries boss. On the other hand, Rams are natural-born leaders, and they will take you into some thrilling new territory.

      TAURUS (Apr. 21 - May 21)

Image is everything to your boss. Taurus people are into status symbols, not only to impress others, but because they genuinely appreciate the best life has to offer. Their self-image depends on always being right. Before arguing a point with your Taurus boss, decide whether it's worth getting fired over.

      GEMINI (May 22 - June 21)

Gemini is information-driven. Whether or not you're actually in a communications field, your boss is obsessed with collecting and disseminating information. If you have a problem, an emotional appeal will count against you. Your Gemini boss wants just the facts, in a concise format. Further, you must be able to pump out work at the speed of light.

      CANCER (June 22 - July 22)

Your Cancer boss will take you under his or her wing and protect you - whether you want it or not. This will get overbearing if you're the type who likes to work independently. However, if you need daily guidance and feedback, this is an ideal match. Also on the plus side, this person is understanding and forgiving, especially regarding family considerations.

      LEO (July 23 - Aug. 22)

More people complain about Leo bosses than any other sign. The Lion is the king or queen of the jungle, and wants everyone to know it. Flattery will get you everywhere, but it does take finesse. Even self-involved Leo eventually will tire of a bootlicking toady. To be effective, your compliments must have an element of truth, and they must be delivered with convincing sincerity.

      VIRGO (Aug. 23 - Sept. 23)

Virgo typically isn't the top dog. Chances are, your Virgo boss is working for someone else, with the sole objective of being as useful as possible. He or she may be nervous and obsessed with performance. You will be judged strictly by how well you do your job. No mistake will go unnoticed, nor will it ever be forgotten.

      LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23)

If it seems impossible to get your Libra boss to make a decision about anything, it's only because he or she is fair to a fault. Further, Libra values cooperation and good working relationships. To make points with your boss, coordinate everything ahead of time with your coworkers, which will relieve your boss of anxiety over having to please everyone.

      SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22)

Scorpio bosses provide for their employees, not only to build their empires, but because this gives them a feeling of absolute power and control. Nevertheless, sucking up will get you nowhere. Your Scorpio boss wants competence, effectiveness, vision, and a single-minded obsession with the corporate bottom line. Think Bill Gates, the ultimate Scorpio boss.

      SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21)

Ruled by Jupiter, father of the gods, your Sagittarius boss is generous, protective, good-humored, and yet prone to violent temper tantrums. In the latter case, take a comfort break and come back in five minutes, by which time it will have blown over. The Archer seeks the truth, but can be self-righteous. The best way to impress your boss is by continually seeking to improve your skills.

      CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20)

Your boss is career-driven and workaholic, and unfortunately not very accessible. Even when the office door is open, it's hard to make a connection. Nevertheless, Capricorn is hardworking, disciplined, practical, reliable, and competent, and prizes these qualities in an employee. You'll impress your Capricorn boss if you play by the rules. If you're new in your job, agree to make the coffee.

      AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19)

Liberté, égalité, fraternité is the motto of Aquarius. Your boss might not seem much like a boss at all. He or she works alongside the employees, and you all go out to Happy Hour together after work on Fridays. Your boss wants to be friends, and in exchange will overlook all but the most grievous errors and shortcomings. After all, we're only human.

      PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20)

Fishes tend not to end up in management positions, unless they have a Rising Sign like Leo or Capricorn. You'll have to do a little digging to find out your boss's birth time, then read the corresponding sign above. Meanwhile, be advised that Pisces are known for having eyes in the backs of their heads. If you're getting away with something, don't think your boss doesn't know.

hard for yourself would see the nice day have one day.

  • Six steps to help you save money

    2007-06-06 22:58:31

here comes some money saving tips.

You have a nice salary, but you still feel short of money. At the end of each month, you often ask yourselves, "Where has all my money gone"? To help you better manage your salary, here comes some money saving tips. Following them your daily expense will be cut off easily, but still keep the quality of your life.

First, you need to set ambitious goals to encourage you to save money. For example, you plan to have a formal dress in one year, to own a car in two years' time or to buy an apartment in five years.

Second, form money saving habits while stay away from those that waste money. Learn to keep a diary of how much you spend and what it's for. Think twice before using money on expensive skin care products. The best ways to keep your skin in good condition is sufficient sleep.

Third, economize your daily expense. Change electric wares into energy efficient ones and leave no more than one light open when you leave home. Buy vegetables from a market not a supermarket where vegetables are less expensive and more fresh. When going to a supermarket, take a notebook with you. Write down what you wanna buy to avoid buying unnecessary stuffs. For things like shampoo, soap or washing powder, buy the family pack.

For girls, who always spend money on clothes, there are some rules helping cut off the expense. Keep an eye on discounts information, you're likely to buy good summer dress in winter in a reasonable price. Shopping malls issue membership cards periodically. Go and get one if it's free, it may give you special discounts.

Fifth, economize your social life. Package the leftovers for next day when you have dinner in a restaurant. When it's your turn to offer a meal, invite your friends to your home, cook the dinner yourself. If you are to attend a wedding ceremony and an expensive present is needed, ask several friends to go together to share a present. When separate from your boyfriend, send the gifts he sent you to your friends instead of throwing them away.

While reducing expenditures, you need broaden your way earning money. Find yourself a part-time job if you are energetic enough, which gives you more working experience. Give birth to your money. If you are not good at making investments, talk to a financial consultant and entrust your savings with him.

    2007-06-06 22:45:05

I usually do not turn off my cell phone. Why? I have no idea. After reading an article, I seemed to understand a little bit: for that little bit of caring. I am now sharing this story with you.

The girl would turn her cell phone off and put it by her photo on the desk every night before going to bed. This habit has been with her ever since she bought the phone.

The girl had a very close boyfriend. When they couldn't meet, they would either call or send messages to each other. They both liked this type of communication.

One night, the boy really missed the girl. When he called her however, the girl's cell phone was off because she was already asleep. The next day, the boy asked the girl to leave her cell phone on at night because when he needed to find her and if could not, he would be worried.

From that day forth, the girl began a new habit. Her cell phone never shuts down at night. Because she was afraid that she might not be able to hear the phone ring in her sleep, she tried to stay very alert. As days passed, she became thinner and thinner. Slowly, a gap began to form between them.

The girl wanted to revive their
relationship. One night, she called the boy. However what she got was a sweet female voice: "Sorry, the subscriber you dailed is power off."

The girl knew that her love has just been turned off.

After a long time, the girl has a new love. No matter how well they got along, the girl however refused to get married. In the girl's heart, she always remembered that boy's words and the night when that phone was power off.

The girl still keeps the habit of leaving her cell phone on all throughout the night, but not expecting that it'll ring.

One night, the girl fell ill. In moment of fluster, instead of calling her parents, she dialed the new boy's cell phone. The boy was already asleep but his cell phone was still on.

Later, the girl asked the boy: "Why don't you turn your cell phone off at night?"

The boy answered: "I'm afraid that if you need anything at night and aren't able to find me, you'll worry."

The girl finally married the boy.

Later at night, do you turn off your cell phone?

  • Can Money Buy You Happiness?

    2007-06-04 15:25:37

Well, doesn't that depend on what's causing you to be unhappy, in the first place?

If you've just lost a loved one, no amount of money will make you happy, only time and your own attitude will eventually lessen the pain and hopefully bring some joy back into your life.

However, if a stack of unpaid bills is facing you each day, wouldn't enough money to pay them, not make you happy? If you are someone you love, needs expensive medical care and you can't afford it, would money not be the happy answer?

So, before we adopt some of these truisms about money, we should see how they apply to the reality of the situation. Money is not a "magic bullet", but then in life, what is? But the effectiveness of money, like most of the things we use and have come to rely on in our world, it is all relative.

Being without money doesn't automatically make someone unhappy, but neither does having money guarantee happiness. Rich people are happy because they don't have to be worried and unhappy about not being able to pay bills, make purchases they want, travel, entertain and so on.

But if they became ill and money could not help, they would be just as unhappy and miserable as the poor person who cannot afford the treatment in the first place.

Money cannot buy anyone more time, but it can give you more freedom to choose how you use your time.

    A very happy by-product, choice!

"Freedom of choice", if there was ever a magical phrase, that one is it! That is the happiness that money buys!

Lack of money or too little money, limits the choices we can make in and about our lives.

Yvonne invites you to come share her skin care "secrets", for natural, effective skin care, that's eas y to buy, use and return (though you wont want to!)

    实际上,好的英语是“读”出来的,不是做练习“做”出来的。“读”出来的英语是地道的、自然的,因为使用者依持的是“语感”;“做”出来的英语往往流于生硬,因为使用者是依赖“语法规则”硬“做”的。

     "兴趣是最好的老师",学习英语首先要有兴趣并努力发展这一兴趣。把自己的兴趣与英语学习结合起来,是英语学习成功的关键条件。通过阅读和自己兴趣相关的文章,可以很快地掌握词汇,即使这些文章是英文的,但因为是你所熟悉和爱好的领域,那么在阅读中通过你对这一领域的中文了解和一定的猜词方法,可以很快地积累词汇。

    至于阅读的方法,我主张泛读和一口气读法。中国人学习英文,精读、精听、精说有余,但泛读、泛听远远不够,没有量的变化,怎么能有质的飞跃?在大量阅读的时候,如果有个别单词挡道,只要不影响整体内容的理解,就不必停下来查词典,因为那样会打断思路,影响阅读速度,甚至扼杀阅读的兴趣。

    举一例来说明,我曾在http://www.en8848.com.cn/article/Index.html 里发现了大量的阅读素材,涉及面很广,从健康美容到市场管理,营销,是一个非常好的阅读工具。因为我目前在民企工作,正准备跳槽去一个外企。因为有MBA的学习经历,也积累了一定的英语基础,由于工作原因也具备一些管理经验,我当时是通过阅读网站里的management和 Sales相关分类的文章,来提高英文能力。在阅读时,千万不要带着语法知识去读,因为你不是英语老师不需要检查文章的语法问题,而当阅读成为习惯,那些地道的英语用法会自然地由此发掘出来.

    首先,管理是我所熟悉的领域,工作中也需要运用,如果暂时找不到自己的兴趣相关分类或工作相关分类,那么,找和自己生活相关的话题也是一条捷径,所以我主攻管理英语和约会英语(我那时在追求一个女孩);

    第二,在managementdating这个分类里,又有大量及时更新的相关文章,这给泛读提供了一个载体,我开始是强迫自己每天阅读一篇这些分类当中的经典文章,慢慢的,当能力和兴趣都提高后可,我就开始阅读里面提供的最新同话题相关的及时更新的部分;

    第三,通过选读篇幅短小的文章来训练一口气读法,阅读时,关闭金山词霸,通过自身对该行业的理解以及猜词方法,达到英语阅读量的积累。

    第四,需要下点笔头功夫。当有些词汇频繁地出现在你的阅读过程中时候,就应该把这些词记在你的学习笔记上,今后你也需要经常翻看你的学习笔记,毕竟这些词是通过你的大量阅读所提炼出来的,算的上是精华词语。

    最后,我想说明,阅读的主要目的在于语言吸收上的“潜移默化”,在于获得语感。不要为了阅读而去阅读,阅读需要“量”,没有大量的语言“输入”,是难以学好英语的。而我们国内的英语学习者恰恰语言此输入量太少,当然输出量就更少。结果往往事倍功半。把阅读当做一次旅程,一次走入另样的文化、生活、人物,风俗的奇妙异国之旅,那么便是一种生活的享受了 。

There once lived a lad who was deeply in love with a girl, but disliked by the girl's father, who didn't want to see any further development of their love. The lad was eager to write to the girl, yet he was quite sure that the father would read it first. So he wrote such a letter to the girl:

My love for you I once expressed
no longer lasts, instead, my distaste for you
is growing with each passing day. Next time I see you,
I even won't like that look yours.
    I'll do nothing but
look away from you. You can never expect I'll
marry you. The last chat we had
was so dull and dry that you shouldn't think it
made me eager to see you again.
If we get married, I firmly believe I'll
    live a hard
    life, I can never
live happily with you, I'll devote myself
    but not
to you. No one else is more
    harsh and selfish and least
    solicitous and considerate than you.
I sincerely want to let you know
what I said is true. Please do me a favor by
ending our relations and refrain from
writing me a reply. Your letter is always full of
things which displease me. You have no
sincere care for me. So long! Please believe
I don't love you any longer. Don't think
I still have a love of you!

Having read the letter, the father felt relieved and gave it to his daughter with a light heart. The girl also felt quite pleased after she read it carefully, her lad still had a deep love for her. Do you know why? In fact, she felt very sad when she read the letter for the first time. But she read it for a few more times and, at last, she found the key - only every other line should be read, that is the first line, the third, the fifth … and so on to the end.
