I'm not in a good mood
2007-11-11
Recently, I'm not in a good mood. Since I really miss my home, my family, I really really do. I feel lonely as well but dare not to make a call to home. Because I'm not sure if I will have a big cry when I listen my parents' voices.
I have been listened to the new disks of Westlife, it's really touched. Especially the "Home" and "Have you ever", they both touched the inner part of my heart.
It's autumn now, a season that may fill of sadness for people. There's a kind of tree that I don't know its name, its flowers are dissilient so beautiful. The colorful red makes you associate with blood, there's a feeling of solemn and stirring. But after the wind, they all fall into the ground. The way they lied in the bed, makes you realize the flimsy of life.
I don't know how and when I began changed. I used to love meeting new people, I used to love enjoying the noisy around, I used to be outgoing, I used to be full passionate.
But what's wrong with me? I couldn't get through it.I even don't wanna talk with people around me, not mention to find a real friend. Sometimes I do feel lonely, but most of the time I feel good even I'm alone,I feel free and comefortable.

Redifine Yourself
2007-9-28
How do you difine yourself? As a mother, father, daughter or any one of a myriad different titles? Or do you define yourself by other's perception of you? Do any of these come close to your own knowledge, your personal experience of whom you really are?In your quiet moments, in times of inexplicable joy, have you had the overwhelming and yet clear and lucid feeling of total invincibility -- a feeling that nothing can hold you down, that you can accomplish anything and everything if you put your mind to it? Well, that feeling is not a random one.
What is ti that gets in the way of your exquisite power?
In fact, the infinite power that is naturally present in each and every one of us by virtue of own consicousness, can be rendered ineffectived if not tended to properly. The stress of our lifestyle, the pollution of our environment, and the collective stress of our world keeps us from functioning at our full potential.

But there are remedies: incorporate modalities in your lifesyle that effectively combat stress and help keep you centered. Some of these opinions are:
Be aware of what you eat, what you use-- both on yourself, and in your environment. Choose natural, organic products.
Live a life of kindness, compassion, and charity-- it keeps you connected to your center, your source, that infinite reservoir within you that is your powerhouse.
Don't judge people, or situation-- approach each moment with the potential of any number of possibilities.
To connect with your real nature that is unbounded and invincible, practice yoga and mediation
Once you are in touch with your true nature, then nothing is beyond your means-- you are truly empowered. And that is an accurate definition of you!

What will Matter
2007-9-27
Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end. There will be no more sunrise, no days no hours or minutes. All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten,
will pass to someone else.Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance. It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grades, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disapper. So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists wil all expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived. It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. Your gender, skin color, ethnicity will be irrelevant.
So what will matter? How will the value or your days be measured?
What is matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassions, courage and sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged
others to emulate your example. What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you've gone.
What will matter is not your memories, but the memories of those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters dosen't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.

Keeping Pleasant
2007-9-17
"He is a fool who cannot be angry, but he is really a wise man who will not."
The habit of keeping pleasant is indeed bettr than an imcome of a thousand dollars a year. The life without cheerfulness is like the severe winter without sun.
We all love cheerful company, but we are apt to forget that cheerfulness is a habit that can be cultivated by all.
We find it very difficult to be gay when we are in distress. It requires great courage. We should never forget that to be cheerful when it is not easy to be cheerful shows greatness. Thorny may be our way, but how happy is the conqueror's song!
The perfetion of cheerfulness consists in the happy frame of mind.It is displayed in good temper and kind behaviour. It arises partly from personal goodness and partly from the belief in the goodness of others. It sees the glory in the grass and the sunshine of the flower. It encourages happy thoughts, and lives in an atmosphere of peace. It costs nothing, and yet it is unvaluable. It blesses its possessor, and affords a large measure of enjoyment to others.
Where is Happiness
2007-9-16
We can find happiness today if we only look. Happiness is in our hearts and asks only to be celebrated and valued. It comes from within. If we fill our mind with pleasant we try to look on the bright side, we invite happiness. No amout of money, possessions, or ego gratification can bring us happiness. There is no such thing as the perfect car, house, job or person to make us happy. Peace of mind comes with the recognition that happiness is the state of mind we chose. Being happy today enables us to be happy forever. Today is what counts.
Our fears try to prevent us from feeling joy and pleasure. The fearful part of us would like us to be in a constant state of watching over our shoulder and of doubting the future. Imaging going to be fitted for new glasses. Your sight will be improved. You will see things more clearly. Consider adjusting your mind in a similar way. As unproductive, unhelpful thougts creep into your consciousness
replace them with better-fitting thoughts that focus on joy and pleasure. -
You Can Start to Win at Any Time
2007-9-15
To solve any problem or to reach your goal, you don't need to know all the answers in advance. But you must have a clear idea of the problem or the goal you want to reach.
All you have to do is know where you're going. The answers will come to you of their own accord. Don't procrastinate when faced with a big diffcult problem, break the problem into parts, and handle one part at a time.
If you can get up the courage to begin, you have the courage to succed. It's the job you never start that takes the longest to finish. Don't worry about what lies dimly at a distance, but do what lies clearly ahead.
Your biggest oppurtunity is where you are right now. Once you begin you're half done.

We Need Dreams
2007-9-15
We all want to believe that we are capable of great feats, of reaching our fullest potential. We need dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even then we are dragged down by reality. Thet keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers. Dreamers are not comtent with being merely mediocre, because no one ever dreams of going halfway.
When we were little kids, we didn't dream of a life of struggle and frustration. We dreamed of doing somthing big and splashy, something significant. We dreamed big.We know now that we have to put in the effort to reach our dreams, but the tough part is that most of us don't know where to start working. We might have every intention of becoming Vice President in five years or running across the finish line in a marathon or copleting the novel we started years ago. But often we have no idea how to translate thest dreams into actions.
In order to make real steps toward fulfilling our ultimate, big, splashy dreams, we have to start with concrete ovjective. These are our goals.

I Want to Know...
2007-9-10
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interst me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looling like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interst me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed down from fear of futher paint.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of fingers and lose without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human.
It dosen't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be turstworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even it is not pretty everyday, and if you can source your life from God's presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver to the full moon, " Yes ".
It dosen't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruise to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.
It dosn't interest me who nyou are, how you became to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It dosn't interste me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
Choice of Companions 择友
2007-9-09
A good companion is better than a fortune, for a fortue cannot purchase those elements of character which make companionship a blessing. The best companion is one who is wiser and better than ourselves, for we are inspired by his wisdom and virtue to nobler deeds. Greater wisdom and goodness than we possess lifts us higher mentally and morally.
A man is known by the companion he keeps." It is always true. Companionship of high order is powerful to develop character. Character makes character in the associations of life faster than anything else. Purity begets purity, like begets like; and this fact makes the choice of companions in eraly life more important even than that of teachers and guardians.
It is true that we cannot always choose all of our companions. Some are thrust upon us by business and the social relations of life. We do not choose the, we do not enjoy them, and yet we have to associate with them more or less. The experience is not altogether without comperisation. If there be principle enough in us to bear the strain. Still, in the man, choice of companions can be made, and must be made. It is not best or necessary for a young person to associate with " Tome, Dick and Henry " without forethought or purpose. Some fixed rules about the company he or she keeps shuld be observed. The subject should be uppermost in the thughts, and canvassed often.

Companionship is education, good or bad; it develops manhood or womanhood, high or low, it lifts the soul upward or drags it downward; it ministers to virtue or vice. There is no half way work about its influence. If it ennobles, it does it grandly. If it demoralizes, it does it devilishly, it saves or destroys lustily. Nothing it the world is surer than this. Sow virthe, and the harvest will be virtue. Sow vice, and the harvest will be vice. Good companions help us to sow virtue; evil companions help us to sow vice.
