Is it good to change

I've been wondered these days, is it good to change? I have a "friend\" who has changed so much that I hardly could recognize her.
What's worse, I found the thought of we are friends, just my own thinking and my own willing. I found the truth when I saw the words she worte in a book. I suddenly felt very cold and realized that I was a fool and just a tool.
I really feel down and disappointed very much, and I feel be betraied. Is it really good to change and even turn into another person?
I couldn't forgive her since I have gave my true heart and frienship to her. So I won't say a word to her anymore.
Am I too narrowness? I don't know.
