This coin was isssued by emperor Song Gaozong in 1127-1130.Southern Song Dynasty(1127-1279AD)was established by royal family menbers of the northern Song Dynasty in Lin'an.However,Southern Song Dynasty always lived under Jin's threats.
In1138,Emperor Gaozong-ZhaoGou appoined Qin Gui prime minister,implementing policies suing for peace.In1141,Qin Gui relingquish anti-Jin's general-Hanshizhong's military leadership,and then placee Yue Fei(another anti-jin general)in confinement with fabricated and groundless reason.Thus,Southern Song Dynasty maintained its ruling at the expense of paying tribute and submitting to the Jin.
