Korean VS Spanish

I’ve said that before my dream to South Korea was dashed. That was because I had a new change in my mind after a period of simple investigation about studying in Korea. Although you can smell all kinds of the delicious and elegant foods in Korean restaurants in China, such as Korean Pickles, Korean Rice-cakes and Korean Roast, which are called “the fab three” by the persons who know Korean foods. And you can find and eat these stuff at the cities in coastal belt of China; You can see the cars labeled “Hyundai, Daewoo” sunning in the streets, and you can see some guys have Korean hairstyle in Korean clothes.

However, what of it? What I concern most is about my future, my prospects. If I make lots of efforts for what I want and don’t get reward accordingly. Think about it, don’t I make some change to my decision? We are young, we are given more chances, maybe another way would be more proper, better and right for me and the rest of my life.

I’m a person who like foreign languages so much. It’s a shame that I went the wrong way, the wrong university and the wrong department. You never know how much I was depressed in campus by I was not who I was. After class, a lot of students dashed out of classrooms, beside me, passed me, here and there like the ocean, in which I lost myself to the bottom without any light and hand. As for myself, it was a sin to waste time, to idle away my life. Think about that, it’s just like a horrible nightmare. I didn't wake up until the day I discovered occasionally Li yang’s English video on the Internet, from where I also rediscovered myself and walked out of the valley of bad mood. Sylvester Stallone has said that people have highs and lows, peaks and valleys, if you can survive your valleys and you get reborn.

Li yang told me that a person has potential abilities which can erupt like a volcano. Sometimes you can do what is almost unexpected. I thought a moment. I’d been fond of English, even other languages such as Spanish and Korean.

I compared Spanish with Korean after I determined blindly to go Korea. First, some Korean despise Chinese students. My adopted older sister once told me that one of her friends acted as a babysitter was questioned by a Korean woman that “don’t you Chinese take a bath?” Those men who look down upon Chinese are the ones that are so jealous of China which are too big, too fat. Because China is going to be stronger and more prospering than other countries.  ( The economy of China keeps on going well and steadily in a high speed. China, the tiger is coming back to life, growing up day by day. It’s a well-known fact.)  While you seldom meet this situation in Span, Cuba or Peru according to remarks made by overseas students. People there like to chat with Chinese about our nation’s history, culture, place of historical interest, and scenic spots.

Second. Although there are some companies that employ Chinese who can speak Korean. But, you know there are many native people who can speak a good Korean in Northeast China. As for abroad students specialize in Korean, it’s too many. They have to face fierce competition for job. And the domain of employment, compare with Spanish, is relatively narrow. One, occasions, companies, people that need to speak Korean are much less than those require to speak Spanish. Relative to other countries, there are lesser joint ventures over the coast of China, though our neighbor put a great influence on our country about culture, diet and pastimes. If I may say only Korean Peninsula speak Korean, barely two countries, about 75,000,000 people use it. As to Spanish, there are more than 27 countries, more than 352,000,000 people speak Spanish. The population of speaking this language are rising faster than that speaking English. And the joint ventures between Chinese and Spanish-speaking countries is getting more and more as well as all sorts of those companies that hire people who can exercise a good Spanish, and the supply is unable to meet the demand. Lots of Chinese transnational corporations need more such people to work overseas with high pay.

At present, Spanish has been wrongly taken for small language. Korean training classes are over here and there, and it’s rough for you to find a Spanish training center in our country in which there are merely several colleges that open Spanish specialty in which few students major. All students over the country are busy with English, Japanese, French, and Korean. It shows that the market for Spanish will be a nice cake, big and delicious, it also properly accounts for the reason why I change my resolution, I was giving up studying Korean, and take Spanish. I mean it. I’m going to do my dream on my figure.
