A big and powerful country

Today is Supper Saturday, as for the basketball fans and CCTV-5, a great NBA basketball game was held in Houston Toyota basketball court. CCTV-5 was live telecasting the program this morning. These two American teams both have a Chinese, and catch great attention among Chinese people at home and abroad.

I heard form the TV host that this nice little spectacular would start at 9 o’clock this morning in China. So I got out of bed early, waiting for that as having my breakfast after washing face, brushing teeth and something like this. To be sure, I guess, that so many Chinese fans were like me waiting before the TV set with much passion.

Actually I’m not a great basketball fan, watching that game just for relaxing my nerve and heart and the exciting emotion up and down along the course of game. While ,as I see it, the real fans like to talk about the skills, tactics, abilities from the beginning to the end. When I was a college student, the guys around me twittering all the time. It’s not my situation, I tend to watch in silence. It’s rare for me to shout wildly though the hot feelings deep inside me like the redhot liquid iron running.

The two big guys didn’t disappoint us. Yao Ming, became the very best in the NBA talent search show,2002, was picked out by Houston Rockets as a center in the first round. Today results: 38 points, 10 rebounds. Yi Jianlia, took the sixth in talent search show,2007,was piced out by Millwaukee Bucks as a center too. Today results: 19 points, 9 rebounds. Although Rockets beat Bucks by 104 to 88, the bucks player Yi was given the loud applause by the audience. As a new face in NBA, today he proved his value by the outstanding performance. He proved the fact that he has potential ability. He can do it better and better as getting more and more skills and experiences. While the familiar big guy Yao, after five-year’s chastening, become more and more skilled and capable, it’s quite obvious that he’s been the high-class sportsman. You can read his name in newspaper, watch him on TV, hear him on the radio and see him in the billboards in the streets.

When I was thinking about this, my blood rushing through my vessels over my body. I couldn’t help to think that our country was growing up rapidly. More and more Chinese people are in and getting into high society, play more and more important roles in the world. No matter they are at home or overseas, they carry forward Chinese culture and tradition, holding together, wining glory for motherland.

At times, I always get angry or upset for our country’s unfairness and blemishes. I have great expectations for our homeland’ future. Our country’s business is going very well, the people’s life is better than before, the light of cities is more brilliant. China is getting big and powerful. I have much faith in the prospects.
