What Determines Your Love

My mother abruptly asked me if I still remembered that girl named Joyce at supper tonight. Of course, what can make me forget about her, my ex-girlfriend? It seems like yesterday that she was in my arms when I close my eyes. Actually, it was the four years ago.

Mom said she met with her mother at a wedding today and talked with her about Joyce and me.

It was said that she found another boy after we broke up, but their love came soon to the end, she didn’t like him, her mother didn’t like either.

“Joyce is good-looking, though she is a little short. She will have a house, and her mother like you, you know, if you two could be together, you future life won’t be too bad!” mom said.

“Oh mom, honestly, it’s nothing, but we always couldn’t hit it off. Do you think I’m happy to live with her? Besides, I’ll go abroad. ” I said.
