    Why do you think some people are attracted to dangerous sports or other dangerous activities?

     

     

    Why some people are fascinated with dangerous sports and activities is an intriguing problem. From my perspective, people engage in some dangerous activities and sports for various reasons, such as money, entertainment and exploration.  

     

    First of all, there is no denying that money is the most important thing for most people in the world. People need money to rich their lives, so they participate some activities no matter how dangerous the activities are. For instance, in Hollywood movies, stunt actors and actresses jump down from high buildings which are burning, drive cars in high speed to strike other cars and so forth. It is feasible for them to die sometimes. Nevertheless, they still take the dangerous activities, in respect that they expect to gain money. They will attain more money while the risks are more dangerous.

     

    In the second place, as no doubt, some people who suppose that money is unnecessary for them. This kind of people participate some dangerous sports for pleasure. To give a demonstration, there are a growing number of people select to jump from planes and fly like a bird in the sky. From the TV, I can watch clearly that how dangerous when those high point athletes fly in the sky. They always said that every sport, in fact, is dangerous. When they fly in the sky, they can feel the nature power. It is very exciting. Such is a human nature that human beings urge to conquer the nature and challenge limit to seek pleasure.

     

    In addition, another sort of people has interests in exploration. For example, people go to dangerous places for they long for discovering and researching. Currently, more and more news reported that there were wild person appeared in Shen Nong Jia where is an ancient forest in China. Forasmuch as a host of people like scientist go there to find and investigate if there are wild person through exploring.

     

    To summarize, taking into account all these elements discussed above, which have expressed that the reasons why dangerous sports and activities are really crucial to some humans in their lives.

  • classmates and parents

    Do you agree or disagree:classmates are a more important influence than parents on a child's success in school.

    It has been more and more important that how a child can be sucessful in school. So whether classmates influence more profoundly than parents is an intriguing topic.Most likely inasmuch as it is not a simple problem for a multitude of people hold different ideas due to their distinct experinces and backgrouds.It is controversial to argue that classmates only have adverse effects on a child.There are a host of persuasive reasons,now I I will explore a few of crucial ones in details.

     

    First of all, no issue is more important than the one refers to academic performance. Facts witness and present a massive number of examples. If a child fails to one examination,he or she will feel extremely mournful and unconfident. At that moment, he or she will receive confidence and feel happy again,as long as he or she attain his or her classmates'courage. In my memory,I got a very low-mark in one of my mid exams, at that time I almost have lost any confidence to go on studying. Fortunately, one of my classmates told me that it was common for students to fail to several exams, the most important is whether we could beat the frustration that we were facing and stick it out. I regard this one as the most direct example to demonstrate my view.

     

    In the second place, as no doubt, it is necessary for students to erect their capability of cooperation. For instance, students will know the importance of helping each other. And how important he or she is in a collectivity through some sports matches. I still remembered that when I was in middle school, how my class won a basketball competition.It depended on everyone's effort of my class. If I lost the ball, it was next to impossible for others to blame me. It was manifest that we would be defeated without cooperation.

     

    In addition, superior as classmates are, as a matter of fact, it is the other way around, there is no denying that classmates might cause some demerits. To give a demonstration, if the relationship between classmates is very unfavorable, it is possible for them to do some impolite behavīors, such as fighting, making spiteful remarks about others and so forth. Nevertheless,the advantages of classmates'influence carry more weight than that of disadvantages.

     

    In conclusion, children are more likely to allow themselves to be influenced by their classmates than parents. In respect that some children suppose their classmates'views are more modern and their parents are too traditional.

    Whether our life has been more and more comfortable,as the technology accelerates along with each passing day,is a popular topic,most likely inasmuch as it is not,in some sense,a simply problem for a multitude of people hold different ideas duo to their distinct experiences and backgrounds.There are some person claim technology is creating much more merits to help person,on the other hand,some person contradict that technology has bringed adverse effects to their life.From my perspective,I would have to say it is more suitable to choose the former one.There are many persuasive reasons why I select this statement,now I will only explore a few of crucial ones.

     

    No issue is more important todays than the one refers to electricity.Facts witness and present a great many examples.In modern world,if someone is eager to watch some matches,which competed in other countries,he or she has no way to watch them without electricity at home.And,it will cost far more time to go abroad to study and travel to other countries as long as electricity fails to exist in humans’life.What’s more,so long as some patients who are required to do operations,the hospitals would have to provide instruments with electricity,else it is,in most cases,possible for the patients to lose their lives ever since.I believe there are no better examples than this one to demonstrate my view more directly.

     

    In addition,as no doubt,it is not a good decision for every person in thousands of fields to complete their assignments without computers.For instance,students might have faster and more effective way to search information on the Internet;it is more simple for teachers to prepare their classes through utilizing computers;people who are fascinated with movies can cost less money,fortunately,and frequently watch more movies;it is fantastic for scientists to research theories and unknown problems more accuratively and so on so forth.

     

    Superior as technology in humans’life is,however,there is no denying that it has its own disadvantages,such as it causes that less and less resource that still persists in earth.Nevertheless,the advantages of evolving technology carry more weight than that of disadvantages because of Humans have to improve their overall national strength.

     

    In conclusion, taking into account all these factors discussed above,which sometimes can interwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive.It has invariably been a mystery to me that some people regard technology as nothing assistant to their life.

    In human's early days,competeition with others has been critical.Untill now,competiton between ourselves,person against person,community against community,still persists,however,and it is as fierce as it ever was.If someone fails to work hard or study hard,in the modern life,it is next to impossible for him or her to catch up with others who are doing their best to chase their dreams.Currently,it seems that less and less students grast the importance of studying,especially the theories that existed in books.It is obvious that students who complete their tasks individually can get better grades than the ones who contempt homework.

    First of all,it is a good way for students to obsorb the knowledge that they study at school,through doing homework.If not,maybe they will feel anguished when they get up next morning for they have almost forget the entire ken they studied.Now that study is a sort of process,systematical repetition is a vital mechanism during study.Students can master the knowledge and study more effectively by dong tasks.

    Additionally,it is a good way for students to obsorb the knowledge that they study at school,through doning homework.If not,maybe they will feel anguished when they get up next morning for they have almost forget the entire ken they studied.For instance,it is possible for students to grasp the knowledge when they are in their school,most likely inasmuch as the teachers'help.As most young students,however,it is impossible to study when they come back home.Currently,as is known to all,students'parents are too busy to administer their children to study,under this circumstance,students may choose to watch TV,play computer games,listen stero and so on so forth.Due to students lack the ability of self-control,therefore,it is necessary to do assignments for them.

    Furthermore,Students suppose it makes a negative effect as teachers assign too many tasks every day so that students feel boring, gradually,they become weary of studying.Advantage,nevertheless,is forever more than disadvantage,and if this is rightly chosen,if it is really attended by the illumination of homework,inch by inch,and often fairly swiftly,students will enjoy the process of carrying out the assignment.

    Technology is one of the key words of our time.In mordern society,students without any helps of technology in the 21st century,many of us believe,will be deprived of countless opportunaties,in some ways,others hold so that they can enjoy much more merits that technology bring to them.Students who are in the zones with technology have more alternatives to gain education.Technology,from my perspective,is the purchasable wells of wisdom.What would students be like without its benefits?

    So much is certain:it is crucial for students that whether they can attain more knowledge,outside the colleges,which has promotion to their grade,sometimes,it is next to impossible for them to acquire in colleges.As is known to all,it is an applicable way to use the Internet which is the symbolic of the technology.It provides sorts of information what is in their expectations,even out of their imaginations.For instance,if a student longs for some useful news for he or she might complete tasks that the professor will see tomorrow,it would be a waste of time to search information in books.As reading books need more time,it is a sensible option to achieve what he or she need,as long as the student seeks the informationon the Internet.

    In the second place,there is no denying that students have to look up new English words in the dictionary during reading.Therefore,so long as a student has an electronic dictionary,it will cost far less time for the student to discover the new words than others who make use of common dictionary.And,the comments to every word in dictionary are extremely particular.The most comforting advantage of eletronic dictionary,as far as I am concerned,is the function of the pronunciations of words.It fails to exist in universal dictionaries.Hence,students might know the standard pronunciation the moment they chech the meaning of a word.

  • Television and newspaper

    Do you agree or disagree：If you want to know some world events, you'd better read newspapers, because the television news doesn’t have enough information.

    As it was an indispensable match that Los Angeles Lakers competed with Phoenix Suns in NBA, it was appealing to me. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to watch the matches on time, because I had classes while the match was going. I could choose to attain the outcome of the match from Sports channel on TV every evening after I came back home. It is a more convenient and faster way than reading newspaper. Therefore, it is more suitable to get news on TV.

     

    First of all, TV is a great marriage of video and audio and this doesn’t exist in newspaper. Hence, I can receive the news far more immediately and directly than newspaper. If I expect to watch news, movies, articles and so forth on TV, all of which would make me feel excited. Sometimes, when we sit in front of TV, what we long for seeing are the wonderful performance of actors and actress, they bring some happiness to us or something mournful they occasionally. As a basketball amateur, I prefer to watch the news on TV instead of in newspaper. AS a reason, I can see clearly what happened to two teams the moment they were competing, such as who shot the ball into the nest, how the team defended the rivals successfully.

     

    In addition, as a matter of fact, editors of newspaper use too many words, even big words, and some intricate sentences to describe a scene so that readers could hardly grasp what they are declaiming. In my memory, nobody is interested in looking up news words in dictionary, including English learners, I comprehend that it is the most tedious and monotonous task to recite new English words, especially the complex ones. TV hasn’t experienced embarrassment of this sort. For example, one minute of video can convey more than a thousand words and comperes of programs utilize easy words to report news so that audiences spend less time getting more information.

     

    Furthermore, as no doubt, newspapers are less instantaneous than televisions. As the fast paces of humans all over the world, everyone urges to receive the latest news that he or she regards as useful and necessary ones. For instance, it is a good decision to know what happened in the election of the president of the U.S.A instantly from the television. As long as people who obtain news from newspapers, I would have to claim that they’d better accelerate their steps.

     

    In conclusion, taking into account all these factors discussed above, the advantages of attaining news on TV carry more weight than reading newspaper. Nor is the television without its moments of colorful demonstrations and timely news.

  • Does luck have anything to do with success?

    Do you agree or disagree:when people succeed,it is because of hard work.Luck has nothing to do with success.

    The idea that successful people depend on their hard work,not the luck,has never appealed to me.Such is human nature that if someone expects to be successful,he or she will have to do his or her best to work and study.The problem,however,is that luck is unuseful at all.I have to say I entirely refute it.There is no doubt that the sentence,”Never say die”,from my perspective,it is forever telling us that no matter what frustrations and hazards we supper within our life,we can boldly beat them and go over to success.Meanwhile,we can never be successful without luck.

     

    In the first place,as one of TOEFL learners,I really urge I can reach the full-mark in the examination.It is,nevertheless,obvious that acquiring full-mark,in some sense,is an impossible task.If someone makes it come ture,I ascertain that every person who is studying TOEFL will have to say he or she must be frantical,at this thing is going,we never disagree that the witness has proved,the person who get full-mark,must study far harder than others.In addition,if there is not luck with him of her,the outcome will be another now.That’s to say,it is extremely essential for the person that when he or she is in the examination,sometimes it is luck which does his of her a favor.

     

    Moreover,it is never enough that every people can succeed in accomplishing his or her pursuit,as long as working hard.Besides,successful humans still have some other qualities,such as confidence,smartness,valor and so on so forth.People can complete anything,even what they are not adept at doing and not interested in trying.Most experiences in our lives that seemed difficult at the time become valuable lessons for the future.And,most successful person have one thing in common,they are capable of doing that they do not enjoying doing.So long as we have resolutions and confidences with our own abilities,we can have a try to do whether we like or not.But,what confront the people is the problem that everyone has to be couraged as to keep up to the end.Most likely inasmuch as no person in the earth can gain success without paying efforts,as many as possible.

     

    Finally,why some people who are regarding luck as nothing people succeed is beyond me.I am wondering if someone will be successful without luck,for luck is a significant part of the forms of successful factors.On the contrary,if people invariably consider he or she can be successful just because luck.As a result,the whole human beings are losers all over the world.Luck is important,but hard work may bring luck.Therefore,no luck should not be an excuse to failure.It has always been a mystery to me that luck has nothing to do with success.

  • Spring Festival in China

    Today is New Year's Eve.

    In my memory,it seems that this day is more happy and meaningful than the first day of next year.There are several reasons.First of all,almost every person,especially child,has many things to do today,what I mean the things are their interests.For instance,some boys prefer to set off firecrackers.It is really beautiful when you do it at night.I have not actually do this for several years,for I apparently do not have interests on that.There years,the task that light firecrackers on New Year's Eve is belong to my grandpa.In addition,children cann gain some money when they go to visit their relatives.The children are extremely happy,as far as I know,even some of them are not allowed to accept money by their parents.Furthermore,as seniors,they really wanna their family get together and have a big dinner,meanwhile,have a talk with each other.

    Moreover,it is a convention that every should eat Jiaozi(dumpling) at 12 p.m. today.

    P.S. it is popular to watch the Spring Festival Evening Party with family.Honestly,I don't like it.Only a little can attract me.

    Some people who think it is a bad idea that teenage students should not use their extra time to have jobs.As a reason,teenagers' most responsibility is to study well.Acquiring ken is their basical right and duty.I completely,however,oppose this opinion for teenagers should know how to use the knowledge that they have studied in text books through practise.And the best way is part-time job.I approve that part-time jobs help teenage students focus on their studies,provide valuable practical experience,and make them get the ability of independence.

    Schools are the places where study and research are divorced from the real world.If students only get knowledge from text books and measured by some exams of theory,they could hardly grasp how to use what they have studied.So,part-time jobs may give some exciting opportunities to students so that they practice themselves.For instance,physics is an extremely abstract,sometimes,boring and difficult subject.When a student takes a part-time job in a scientific and technological lob,he or she will discover how interesting to study physics and how important that maybe they can contrive something and make human beings'life more convenient in the future.Hence,the students will be more interested in physics and self-confident than they have ever been before.What was an abstract academic pursuit becomes a concrete goal with a real relationship to students'life.

    Additionally,part-time jobs help students build important contacts with corporations,and familiarize them with the contemporary state of their respective fields.Students who expect to gain better income would find part-time jobs that are their majors can get expeience and the guidances from the professional workers in advance,the moment they are studying in schools.After they graduate from universities,they may then return to their part-time employers to look for a full-time position,what's more,they may choose to get into some famous companies to challenge theirselves and acquire higher wages.

    Furthermore,when students use the money that they earn by themselves,they absolutely have the feeling of success and establish confidence with their own abilities.Learning to manage the money that they make will be an essential part of their future lives.It is not very mournful that students make mistakes operating their money,it,in some sense,will teach them precious lessons that they will be sure to remember in the future,when they will be truly independent.

  • ATTENDING CLASSES:REQUIRED OR OPTIONAL?

    Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes.Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students.Which point of view do you agree with?

    Such is human nature that the most important responsibility for university or college students is acquiring more knowledge,therefore,they should attend their classes.Many person,however,support it is unnecessary to involve all classes for some of them are not useful for students.If students can control themselves,that's to say,they have abilities to study more effectively in another way,then not be required to attend every class.

    Some students,in some sense,believe that it is difficult to study in large classroom where there are too many others because it is ever so noisy,and find reading quietly a more effective way.Thus,students would better choose a way of studying in the library or solving questions,which they do not grasp,with professor's help in office hours instead of studying in the classroom.If so,they may achieve what they expect to know.

    In addition,if schools allow students to have an air of freedom to take courses,whether some students will loose purpose or not.On the other hand,training up students' ability of independence is the most significant in university.Usually,tests are the most important measures for every student,inasmuch as all of them should pass the exams,else they cannot graduate smoothly.Hence,in the weeks before examinations,especially the final exam,students need to do their best to prepare.For instance,if a student is very adept at English but extremely poor in chemistry,it might make more sense for that student to spend extra time,as much as posible,arranging for chemistry.If students are required to attend classes that they are already familiar with,it is really unmeaningful.

    Moreover,schools should trust students to make choices and develop that they are interested in,for it is easier to be succussful as long as students have their own best interests.
