      Well, apparently the guy's heart is pierced by the failed love experience. But his point of view really makes sense that love and reality is a 0-sum relationship, doesn't he? Maybe not.
      Acctually, if we take career as the pillar of our lives and love as the bottom I guess that the pillar is most likely to collapse someday without the bottom.
      By the way, although it's not easy to make a balance of the relationship it might be the way out.
