    Well, here I am in Hong Kong now.  Have had a very busy time with helping my friend get an a partment and then buying furniture and getting the  the apartment in some sort of decent appearance.

    The flight from Nanjing: I sat in the plane on the tarmac for one and half hours before the plane took off!!!  No explanation was given for the delay in taking off.  Anyway, eventually the plane took off.  After I served breskfast  on the plane, the man sitting next to me spilt 2 cups of hot coffee over me!!!  So there was  I soaked  to the skin  on my left side with hot coffee . As a reault , I  have a large burn mark on my left elbow, plus a rather borrible burn on my left hip.  It has been very sore and unpleasant, but is healing up now.

              
    My friends and I started apartment hunting on last Thursday.  After looking at 4 apartments, we decided to take  take the 4th one I saw.  It has heaps and heaps of cupboard space and built-in wardrobes, which is what she need. The kitchen and bathroom are a little bit old, but they are still livable.  The apartment  has 3 bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen and living/dining room.  It is much smaller than what my friend had on the campus, but is still roomy enough for her.  Shepaid the required money on Friday and got the keys straight away.  Then the furniture shopping started.  And what fun? That was!!!  Yesterday we finalized all of it except for a computer desk. On Friday, her apartment  will be fully furnished except for the sofa -that comes on the tomorrow.  So I have been rather busy since getting back to HK.

    Now I am waiting for my visa vexedly ```````

语法当先 说话、写作之前先想语法，惟恐语法有错，此为学校课堂死板的英语教学给学生留下的最严重的后遗症之一。

Happy mid –autumn festival!

The festival is coming, but my family haven’t decided where should we go to have dinner, there are not common opinion. Someone likes to eat piquancy, sweet, sour, salty and insipid vegetable, everyone has different flavor.

Chinese adage says it is difficult to cater for all tastes.

Recently, I am unhappy and want to change my terrible mood. Therefore I went to cut my hair after having lunch. Maybe I changed another hairstyle, which could be a good mood. 

Tonight I am going to accompany with my parent s to celebrate it, I know this is a last mid-autumn that I stay with my parents in inland. Next year I will celebrate this festival on my own.

I hope that my parents will be healthy forever!

   I’ve been watching Friends these days, day and night.
   I just finished two seasons, but I am crazy about it.
   Once I doubted the life style of the Americas. They’re free to talk about sex, to kiss and even have sex with anyone, anytime and anywhere. In the eyes of we Chinese, that can be called” vulgar taste”. But now, I should say that:” I admire their life style so much because it is life all about: happiness, freedom, enjoyment and all the nice stuff.”
   Friends told me the true meaning of friendship: you can mock at or tease your friends anytime you like, and it’s not a big deal. When your world sucked, the other five would stand beside you, giving you courage, cheering you up and getting through the difficulty with you.
   When I felt down, some friends could make me laugh from the bottom of my heart and make me forget all the bitterness, depression happened around. (That comforted me a lot, which was great.)
   I’d like to indulge in Friends, with my mind free of anything but happiness and with the damn boring time flying like rocket.

Dan was the doorman of a club in a big city. Everyday, thousands of people passed his door, and a lot of them stopped and asked him, "What's the time, please?" 
 
After a few months, Dan said to himself, "I'm not going to answer all those stupid people any more. I'm going to buy a big clock and put it upon the wall here." Then hedid so.  
 
“Now people aren't going to stop and ask me the time," he thought happily.  
 
But after that, a lot of people stopped, looked at the clock and then asked Dan, "Isthat clock right?”

写作就是通过语言表达你自己的思想。这里面有两个要素：语言和思想。对于一个成功的写作行为来说，这两点缺一不可。在运用母语写作时，我们基本上不用花很多时间和精力去考虑语言，因而我们的重点是放在内容上。但是在学习用外语写作时，语言和内容就都需要注意。如果处理不好这两者之间的关系，我们可能就永远也学不好外语写作。

　　一般说来，学习外语写作有三个步骤，虽然这三个步骤是不能截然分开的。

　　第一， 学习这门语言的基本的词汇和语法。此时的学习者对这门外语的基本用法还未掌握，因此尚处于学习语言的基础阶段。这时写作训练一般没有，即使有也只是为练习词汇和语法服务。这种练习一般说来内容都非常简单，强调的是学习者所使用的词汇和语法必须正确。词汇-----基础，单词不可不背，但也绝对不能死背词汇。在狂背完词汇的基础上，尽量到阅读中去巩固和体会。

　　第二， 语言和内容并举。此时的学习者已经掌握了该语言的一些基本的词汇和语法，可以用该语言表达自己的简单的思想。这时的写作练习可以达到两个目的：（1）继续增强对语言的掌握；（2）用外语表达一定的思想。在具体的学习实践中，这两者实际上是不可分的。

　　第三， 主要强调内容。当学习者对一门外语的词汇和语法有了一定的掌握，可以用它来表达相对复杂的思想时，就基本进入了第三阶段。此时的语言已经不是最大的障碍，如何写出好的内容成了头等大事。这一阶段的学习者所注重的是如何选材、如何组织文章之类的问题。有人说只有这第三阶段的写作才是真正的写作。这一说法可能失之偏颇，但成功的写作是必须达到这第三阶段的。

　　如果我们发觉写出完整的句子尚有困难，这说明还处于第一阶段。此时我们不要急于写出长篇大论，即使有些想法可能非常深刻。这时我们应该做的是注意语言的积累，留意常用词和句型的用法。另外，适当做一些翻译练习也可以帮助自己提高运用语言的能力，从而为提高写作能力做好准备。翻译练习实际上对你们的写作能力的提高也是大有裨益的。除此之外，多做一些阅读，培养对语言的感觉也能为提高写作能力做一些准备。

　　因此，在现阶段可以从以下三个方面着手：积累语言素材、多做翻译练习、多做阅读练习。随着自己的语言能力的提高，我们会逐步进入第二阶段，到那时就不愁写不出句子了。

Remove from your vocabulary phrases like"one of these days"or "someday";
