You may think that an ocean separates us,

or that our governments separate us,

      or that our cultures separate us,

but the People of California and China

        share the knowledge

that when the earth shivers

        beneath our feet,

Suddenly,

     Our Politics, Property and

             Plans do not matter

An earthquake is neither good or bad

            It is only a test

Of the goodness in

          the human heart.
