About IELTS

I'd like to pass the IELTS exam, but I never join the exam before. I work in a company now, and cannot join a training course. So I want to review by myself.But I don't kown whether I can pass the exam whithin half of a year if I don't take any courses. And I have past CET-6. I am grateful if some one give me some advice.
