I got my confirmation letter

Our unit head received her confirmation letter for her contract with the education group yesterday and planned to hold a party at her house to celebrite it.
In fact, I came to the group 4 days eariler than her. And I was considering why I didn't get mine confirmed? I inquired some Chinese staff working here longer than I and some of them received not on the exact day when they complete probation period, others didn't but still continued working here.
My Chinese colleagues suggested that I keep silent until the EVD(Exective Vice Dean) inform me.
But I said why?
If they are satisfied with my work here, just let me know and treat me equally as foreign teachers here.I don't care to be fired for just wanting the same treatment.And if they fired me, I will not leave without knowing the reason.
I decide to bring my contract tomorrow and show them the date I began working here and then ask why.
But at one hour before going home, my unit head, Sherry, came to me and delivered my confirmation letter to me, with sweet smile and many congratulations from my foreign colleagues immediately.
