长期以来，英语教师都想在英语课堂教学中提高效率，从而取得好的效果和较高的质量。这适应当前由应试教育转化为素质教育的教育方向。素质教育的核心是培养学生的创新思维，创新能力。在教学实践中，笔者发现可以通过让学生在课堂上“动’起来的方法来激发学生的独立思考和创新的意识。什么叫“动”?那就是让学生动眼、动耳、动口、动手、动脑。通过“动”，使学生在精神、心理、思维和身体活动诸方面积极参与到课堂中去，从而激发兴趣，培养创新能力。
一、教师必须调动学生的积极性，让学生动起来
(一)从心理学角度来看，人认识事物的过程就是感觉、知觉、表象、记忆、思维、想象的过程，其中感觉、知觉、表象是记忆的基础，三者缺一不可。有位科学家通过实验证明：只听能记往60％，只看能记住70％，而看听说三者结合能记住86％。由此看来，我们如果能让学生把看、听、说等动作充分利用起来，他们的精神和思维就会处于积极主动的状态，从而增强理解和记忆力，在单位时间内提高学习效率。
(二)从生理学角度看，中学生特别是初中生天生好动，针对这些情况，教师不妨来个以动制动，把学生无意识的上课乱动转为有目的、有组织的动作，这样不仅能提高学生的注意力，更能调动学生的积极性。
（三）从语言角度看，传统的英语教学方法过分强调了语言结构的系统性而忽略了学生的心理和生理特点，课堂上总是老师从头讲到尾，学生坐到那里只用耳朵机械地听，造成了死气沉沉的课堂气氛；而且在这种情况下培养出来的学生往往是记住不少单词，背诵了不少语法规则，但缺乏用英语进行实践活动的能力，结果只会是高分低能。这是不符合素质教育要求的，也不可能培养出具有一定运用英语能力的合格人才。语言是人类交际的工具，所谓交际就是要有双向或多向的活动。在这样的思想指导下，英语教学中我们教师应遵循以下几条原则：
1、要以学生为主体。
2、英语教学应考虑学生各方面的特点。
3、英语课不仅仅是向学生传播英语知识，其最终目的是让学生通过学习将知识运用到实践当中去。
二、教师怎样使学生动起来?
教师都希望学生对学习产生积极性、主动性，从而最大程度地提高课堂效率。所以，教师应深入了解学生的心理，并创造出适合学生学习心理的方法，而让学生“动”正是有效的方法之一。
(一)激发学生在课前准备时动起采。首先大家齐唱英文歌，营造一下英语气氛，集中学生注意力。此外，在讲课之前，教师可根据情况让学生做一些准备工作，如准备教具。教师尽可能要做到自己手中有什么，学生手中就有什么。例如学习JEFC Book2，Lsson46时，课前可以让学生准备一本日历，这样做有以下好处：
1、促使学生主动看书上的内容，达到让学生预习的目的。
2、增强了学生上课的新奇感，为学生主动参与到课堂中去创造了条件。
3、使学生对课文内容产生疑问，促使他们认真听讲来解决问题。
(二)引导学生在老师导入新课时动起来。每次英语教师在备课时一定都会为怎样导入新课而花费一番心思，这说明能否成功地导入新课直接关系到这堂课的顺利进行。
多数教师平时一般都是通过让值日生做报告来导入，一方面锻炼了学生的口语，一方面训练了其他学生的听力。这种方法虽好，但每天如此的话必定会引起学生们的厌倦情绪，反而产生不好的效果。如果教师能经常增加新内容、变换教学方式的话，学生的注意力一定会保持集中。例如上面所讲的一例，学生头脑中肯定会出现这样的疑问：“英语课上为什么要用日历呢?”“哦，是学习序数词以及月份的表达。”于是教师一上课就很容易利用这个问题导入新课，从而过渡到其它环节，顺利完成这堂课的教学。
(三)鼓励学生在操练环节中动起来。在英语课堂上学生是主体，所以，让学生完全参与对学生认识能力的形成和知识的掌握有一定帮助，而且记忆效果会更好。例如，在讲JEFC，Book2，Lesson35一课找地点的句子时，我依据文中地图把全班分成若干块，第一组前半部是Bus station，中间是Book shop，后半部是Post Office。依照这样，一块代表一个地方，然后让一名同学从起点出发，按照给定路线，边走边用英语解说，直至目的地。这样可以使学生动口、动脑，还能让其他同学一起参与进来，活跃了课堂气氛。通过运用这种形象、直观的方法，学生们很快掌握了本课的内容，就连班上的差生也能正确、流利地说出这些比较复杂的句子了。这个例子足以说明如果教师能够将“动”巧妙地运用到操练当中，学生就会处于积极状态、提高注意力，学习效果自然就更好。
(四)启发学生在练习环节中动起来。练习是学生巩固并实践新知识中必不可少的环节，如果能让学生在练习时动起来，就可以促使他们将基础知识转化为语言技能，并发展成为运用英语进行交际的能力。初中英语教材中有很多贴近生活的内容，教师可以把这些课文改写成生活性的短剧，让学生去表演。相信通过这样的练习，学生会很快掌握并应用所学的知识。例如在讲JEFC Book2，Lesson7l，Ann's birthday时，我让学生自己动脑筋改编了课文，还自己动手准备短剧中的道具，如生日蛋糕、蜡烛、礼物、宴会、餐桌等等。由于有了这些生动、直观的舞台道具，同学们成功地分角色表演了这一个小故事，在表演过程中，不仅小演员们得到了很好的锻炼，其他同学更是受到情绪感染，达到了预期的学习效果。
三、小结
综上所述，要实现英语教学从应试教育向素质教育的转轨，必须实施创新教育，培养创新能力，在课堂上让学生“动”起来，逐渐改变过去那种老师满堂灌、死气沉沉的教学模式，提高效率，减轻学生负担，从而达到最终目的。

英语教学中教会学生质疑

众所周知，学生的思维过程往往从问题开始，在英语阅读教学中，教师要有意识地诱导学生质疑问难。那么，怎样培养学生的质疑能力呢？笔者认为应该从以下几个方面去把握。 　　营造良好课堂气氛 　　高中学生的问题意识还不够强，在学生的质疑过程中，难免会提出一些“幼稚”的问题，在这种情境中，教师可以通过下列方式创造学生喜爱的环境：通过多种形式肯定学生的提问，比如，面部表情、手势动作以及充满赞赏的话语；尊重学生的不同见解；赏识学生的独创。只要学生有一点新思想、新发现，就应该表扬和鼓励他们，让他们看到自己的价值。 　　把握三个阶段 　　第一阶段教师要根据“初读感知——细读理解——精读品味”的阅读顺序和学生由浅入深的认知规律，指导学生掌握略读或粗读的方法。比如，首先让学生快速地阅读全篇，掌握所读材料的主旨和大意，设计一些浅层性的问题。对于篇幅较长或信息较多的文章可以用图示法列出重要信息项目，再设计问题。对于文章中尚未弄懂的知识，比如生词、短语、句子、语境等，要指导学生根据上下文，并利用所掌握的句法、构词法和词汇，设计一些猜测性的问题。这一阶段的问题属于初级阶段，答案可以直接在文章中找到。 　　第二阶段是学生细读以后可以设计两类问题，一类是找出文章中的重要事实或细节设计理解性问题，另一类是辨认哪些细节在文章中没有被提及等问题。教师要鼓励学生放开手脚、广开思路，鼓励他们用自己的语言把想法和认识通过问题形式表达出来。教师还要根据学生的个体差异以及在阅读中所产生的好奇、好问、困惑、矛盾等心理特点，采用小组讨论争辩的方式来解决问题。在学生的质疑过程中，教师要有目的、有意识地让学生对所学知识的内涵和外延进行探讨和争辩，鼓励学生提出相互矛盾或两难判断的问题，然后通过师生间的相互启发，达到异中求同，最后，形成一个紧扣教学目标，有目的性、全面性的问题链，最后教师统筹解决，达到培养学生分析问题和创造性解决问题的能力。 　　第三阶段可以要求学生研读文章，对文章作进一步探究。当学生细读文章时，要指导学生围绕其结构特点及中心思想去提问，比如，如何认识作者的写作目的，发现作者的失误和偏漏，对作者的观点提出异议，品味文章的写作特色，如何进行推理判断等，这类问题需要跳出“因循守旧”的框架，所以要求学生树立“标新立异”的观念，从不同角度、不同地方进行思考和分析，用自己独特的思路设计真实反映自己的所想所感的问题。 　　教师在每一阶段都要抽出足够的时间让学生在组内进行相互合作交流，提出个人的疑难问题，简单的当场解决，较重要的和较难的问题经过认真筛选后在全班交流。筛选问题不仅是选择的过程，而且还是完善、合并、修正说法的过程。在组内交流时要求学生把在思考问题时的思维过程描述出来，这对其他学生有一定的启发和帮助。 　　      浙江省杭州市余杭区高级中学　徐一珠

　There are many arguments about the advantages and disadvantages of examination. Some people think examination is the only way to test how examinees have mastered what they have studied and it is the only measurement for examiners to select which persons they need. On the other hand, some object that examination can't measure how the students have really studied. They say it can do nothing but burden the students.
    As for me, I think for both examinees and examiners, the examination can show what and how much the examinees have mastered. The results of examinations are just like mirrors for both examiners and examinees. Through examination the examinees can check their work and Become aware of which aspects they have not done well, so that they'll make much improvement in their work. As far as examinees are concerned, they can not only know how they have studied but also find out what they still don't know or what they haven't mastered well. Thus they will be inspired to greater elforts to improve their studying method so as to make greater progress. Of course too many examinations are burdens to both examiners and exami.
    In summary, the examination does more good than harm for both examiners and examinees. We must take a positive attitude towards examination. We should take full advantage of it and avoid its disadvantages.

根据传统的中国风俗习惯，中国人请客的时候往往喜欢摆阔，就是尽量地点很多的菜、尽量地点贵菜、买好酒。主人请人吃饭时花钱一定要多，准备的东西一定要让客人吃不了，要剩下很多，这样才显得主人有钱、大方、会办事。如果点的菜正好或剩下的不多，即使所有的人都吃得很饱、很舒服别人也会说请客的人小气。中国人请客往往非常大方，他们常常为了请一次客而花掉自己半个月甚至一个月的工资。正是因为有着这样的传统习惯，中国人请客的时候往往准备很多很多的饭菜，有时请五个人准备的饭菜十个人也吃不了！
因为准备的食品太多，吃不了往往就浪费了。由于中国人有请客吃饭的习惯，这么大的国家，这么多的人口，请客的人当然很多，这样中国人每年在这方面的浪费是很惊人的。据有关资料统计，中国每年只是在吃喝上浪费的粮食就有几百万吨（ton）！更不必说还有大量的鱼肉、海鲜、蔬菜和其他食品。据报道，一些吃过中国人宴请的外国人惊讶地说：“如果从餐桌上看中国，它比所有的发达国家还发达。”
中国人请客吃饭这么浪费，其实中国人自己也不是不心疼，只是因为这已经是中国上千年来的习惯和传统，他们没法反对或不遵守。“全聚德”正是看准了中国人的这种心理，因此在这方面做文章来赢得了顾客和欢迎。

  My grandmother is 81 years old,with a head of black hair .She is very kind although she has bad temper .She likes drinking very much ,She scolded my cousin when she got very angry .This most happened after she drinking .That is because she gets drunk.When her wine comes to of time,She became kind ,as nothing happened.   During the spring vacation ,when i met my old friends,but now no so as close as before .When they came to visit me .We not so close like before .We were talking while dringking .We talked our study,life.When she told me that she just can stay one hour ans must leave .i am suprised to hear that and  no time for waiting ground asks her why .''Now you  went back home once a year ,we seldom had chace to meet each other in a year ,why not stayed longer?'' and she told me that she had a pointment at night .It must be your a handsome boy ,right ? I asked .''Yeah ,a boy who lived near my town and in the same school with her .And she also told me they have been together for half years .And then she show me some pictures which they take on Valentine Days .They act intimacy.How sweet they are .Whey she asked me ''what about  you .When will you present your boy friend to me.''Suddenly i don's know how to answer she .''I am still single ,''I shoutted .''That's impossible ,you are making a joy or you are cheating me .she wondered . ''Of course, it's true .''In their eyes ,girls on this age  haven't been into love that means you not enough excellent .I felt shy to said that i am single .maybe it means that i am just common girl .''oh my god , I don't hope so .''To be frank  I don't fall in love with a boy that is i'm not love so much .so  it's hard for me to get a boy friend .but she tried to persude me to had a try ,and she also said it's high time that we got a boy friend .it really  the right time ?I don't know ,i just enjoy single's life

  After reading some  articles of my friends , I notice that their literary grace is very good .With go to, I have already wanted to write exciting of some things,Because of the restriction of style of writing, I can't write a sentence of daintiness.
I think it is high time for me to read  more and improve myself  

Today is the beginning of January of lunar calendar two. It's a new year again . Everything is a new begging .I am  sitting on the front of computer.Remingd of the past year. It seems a long time and I can did a lot of things to improve myself  during the year .I have a deep thought for a moment just now  :  What I have done in 2007 ,what is my achivement ,which aspect I have improved. I can answer it clearly :No or I don't  know.I often made a lot of plans at the begin of year ,but I never put it into action . In fact ,sometimes I  felt  I have no time to carry out my plans . I'm in a hurry and busy everyday without doing anything . All things haven't been changed . I  am  still me . Time past fast. I hope  I will made more achivement in 2008 and try my best to carry out my plans that i made in 18 years old

     My dear friends , as you all know , now  it's the end of the term , no doubt the fianl examination is coming . I have to pay more attention to the exam . I am afraid  I have not enough time to come here more often ,revist the blog either.  Here , I say sorry to you .....Best wishes for you .

    Now it's the end of 2007 ,After several seconds , it will be 2008. I want to write  something about past times in 2007 ,but I have no time to write ,because final examination is coming , I have to prepare my examination , next time i will contine wrting say good bye to 2007.

  Sometimes we met on the street,but we prent to didn't notice each other , or we are strangers . Why , what had happened between us . Maybe I  should know everything had gone and isn't the same as I imagined. Maybe as the saying goes lovers can't make frineds together after saying  good-bye .

   Today I am very happy.Because I am succeed in registering my English blog that I expect it for a long time.From now on, I have my own space to write sth down ,to share my feelings with you and practice my English .I hope we can became good friends.Christmas is coming .Merry christmas to you .
