THE ATTITUDES TOWARDS LIFE

    A man who is wandering in the street and sighing for his lack of money to buy a pair of shoes, catches sight of a man who has lost a foot all of a sudden.

    These are not words of my own, but I have the same experience. One day when I was walking in the street of Xicheng and feeling so sad about my poverty, I found a young man, whose right leg had been completely cut off, leaping forward forcefully and energetically on one leg. So far as the health is concerned, I am better than him, however as to the attitude towards life itself, I may not be as optimistic as him.

    The other day when I was waiting for the bus, a begging boy came to me with a knife cutting across one of his wrists. Someone who had some doubts went nearer to make sure whether the wound was a real one. He looked from all sides of the wound and found out it was unmistakably a wound. Whenever we are not satisfied of life itself, think, have we had the same experience?

    The most valuable thing in our life is that we should adopt an optimistic, sanguine, magnanimous attitude towards life. To those who provide help to us, we offer our heartfelt appreciation; to those who poured dirty words over us, we should keep it in mind that such kind of people should have the right to exist in the world. Is there anything comparable to life itself?

    Live every day as happily as we can. We don't live for ourselves only. Our family, friends, and all those who have treated us well, are people we should live for.

Okay, this is the most confusing part...

Your topic is to suggest people to be optimistic.

The whole story sounds like this:

a begger cut himself and tried to commit suicide. Then someone rushed over to check whether he was seriously hurt. Then this person finally confirmed that the begger did cut himself.

Then you ended this story???!!!

Then you wrote "Whenever we are not satisfied of life itself, think, have we had the same experience?"

You mean when we are not satisfied, we all try to kill ourselves??? or you mean we all had the same experience seeing a begger cutting himself???

If you intended to use this story to show us that sometimes when we feel down, we all have the feeling to finish ourselves...

Then what is the point to add the extra person who rushed over and checked out the cut????

And funny enough, that person didn't do anything to help after he/she checked out the cut because you just simply finished this story...

So Is this story showing how hopeless the begger is or how stupid and cold that person is???

I have no idea why you are useing this story to support the point of your article...

Then let's look at this part:

I think you mean people who have cursed you or been rude to you, we should forgive them...

But the way you put it sounds like these people deserve to die but because of our mercy, they have right to live...

God, everyone has the right to live !!!! just like everyone has the right to kill themselves...

I will put it like: " is there anything which is more important than life itself" ....

When you write sth, you have your point...so it is better if you make every single sentence or story necessary and approriate to support your point...

Also don't try to sound profound..I think you may not intend to do that but the words such as "pour dirty words over us" are like some sorts of poems...

Nothing wrong to sound profound but it is not
appropriate in this article because it is neither a fiction nor a poem...

It is just simply some thoughts popping out in your mind...why don't you just use everyday languge to write it down ???

Finally, I read this article again...honestly, after I seriously spent some time on it, I found it making more sense than last time...

When I read an article, if it totally makes sense, I will continue reading..but if it sounds a bit confusing, I immediately quit....

You may feel frustrated......me too!

Do you think I feel good when I read sth but have no idea what the writer is trying to say???

Don't get paranoid about it....it is hard to write English perfectly when you have a Chinese brain...everyone is the same....
