Yesterday I had to stay at school to watch over the students in the school dormitory. It was raining. What bad luck!

After a quick supper I put on my raincoat and trudged towards school. I felt it a pity because I couldn’t help my students with his homework at home. When I got to the school it was still early. I went to my office to switch off the computer. The leader who should be on duty that night called me that he was having dinner so I had to go to the dormitory and did my job without supervision.

I had to stay outside and went from one room to another to make sure the students were safe. There are more than 1000 students in the dormitory, so it was quite hard work. What was the worst, it was much too noisy. With the help of the worker whose duty is making sure that students are in order, I finally kept the students in order.

It was after all the students had gone to bed and fallen asleep that my job came to an end. Exhaustedly I went to my room. After reading the novel “Jane Eyre” for about twenty minutes, I went to sleep.

When it dawned this morning, I woke up and got dressed. I had to go to the playground and made sure all the students were running safely. After that I went back home to get my son to school. It only left me about forty minutes. So I had to be in a hurry. Till then my overnight duty had finished.

I felt only too tired. Fortunately there had been no students who became ill at night and I had a short but sound sleep. God bless me!
