Sunrise on the Campus

    One morning after a rainy and windy night, I got up after a sound sleep, and stepped to the balcony with my drowsy eyes.

     Ah, what a beautiful scene! I was attracted all of a sudden by the campus in the morning. Everything looked peaceful. The trees were jade-green, the birds in the trees were singing cheerfully, and the buildings in the distance looked brand-new. The air was so fresh that I could not help taking a deep breath. I saw the blue-grey sky far away giving way to the purple hues, then some red and orange ones. Finally the rose like a big fireball in the sky .Everything looked different in the sunrise.

    Gazing at the scene, I smiled, feeling comfortable and safe .Such emotion had never occurred to me before.

It was still rainy and windy last night. Trees were trembling in the rain; leaves were falling down one after another; people on the road of the campus were hurrying to find shelters in the rain. I felt uneasy at the sight of that and it brought to my mind the pressure of the self-taught exams. It was a painful and hard time for me. However, it turned out to be different after that night. The rising sun had inspired a new strength into me. I would no longer be afraid of anything.

   From the rising sun, I have seen a ray of hope after the struggle, and I have learnt the true essence of life as well.
