the New China Town

2008-02-13 08:13:20 / 个人分类:New York, NY

I went to the new China Town in Flushing Queens last Satuarday. We always go there for Chinese grocery shopping. In Flushing you do not need to speak English. Everyone speaks Mandrin or Cantones. I took a photo of the resturant where we had Zao Cha. So many people. Some of them wore Chinese tradicional cloth for people are still celebrating the Spring Festival.

To Man,

well, if we ban Chinese, China will ban us too...and we don't want that happening, do we?

Of course, Chinese get used to their crowded situation and they won't mind...Plus most of Chinese have the same bad habits such as spitting on the floor...ect..ect....

We welcome Chinese but only good ones.....please....(I haven't seen many good ones so far...)

And speaking of the income which tourism
may bring......I am not sure about other countries...but in NZ, your tourists create more problems, which their money is not enough to fix.....

Last year, income from tourists of different countries.....China is even below India....the first one is Japan (we love Japanese), then Great Bratain, followed by Europeans, the 4th is America, Fifth is Korea........the 18th is China....

It is not very easy to paste you the pie chart but honestly, you will hardly see the money which Chinese tourists spent in NZ......

The Chinese tourists break our stuff...and spit, throw rubbish anywhere....and blocking the traffic......but their money is not enough for us to fix the problems they created.....very headache....

I am not racist to Chinese, Okay?...since I look like a one....but honestly, no country wants to make a loss......we have been doing all kinds to regulate the Chinese tourists but they always say: "I don't know your regulation... don;t know English..." and blame their tour guides....although the tour guides did tell them what they can't do......

I find most of Chinese here (not only tourists) have very weak concept of "Law" and "Regulation".....if you tell them smoking inside this building is agaist our law, their first reaction is not stopping smoking but hiding somewhere to continue........so Funny....

And when I say Chinese tourists block the traffic....I mean they block the traffic deliberately....it is sth to do with their behavior more than the bumber of tourists......

They stand in the middle of the road and sometimes they just run cross the road causing accidents .....

Humans all learn from their experience.....as I have seen thousands of Chinese tourists having those funny behaviors, I am anti-Chinese tourists.....

And please notice...I said I am....not our government, not all Kiwis.....so all I can do is to vote to control the number of the Chinese tourists coming into NZ....but it doesn't mean all Kiwis will vote for that......

So don't upgrate this issue to a national level.....

I could tell you are anti-Chinese tourists. And that's why I replied you that way. Of course Chinese tourists in your country go to the Chinese resturants. I understood that. But we Chinese people also go to the Great Wall, do you know how many tourist buses, full of tourists, are in the parking lot, and how many in the Chinese resturants there? We never complain because we know that we need to share space although we also want to park and have our lunch. Also,  tourism is one source of income of your country. Chinese people go there to spend money. If you and many of your country fellows are so anti-Chinese tourits, vote (you r lucky since you guys live in a democratic country) to let your government stop giving tourist visa to Chinese citizens. We will be cool with that, though really do not konw what will thiink some businessmen in your country.

tourists, when there are many of them, may cause certain inconvenience in traffic no matter where they are (or who they are).

I agree....but we are talking Chinese restaurants, aren't we??

How many European tourists will eat in a Chinese restaurant in NZ???

Not many....so of course, almost all people coming from that restaurant in NZ are Chinese tourists....and they do block the traffic especially in the afternoon...

Just don't take anything I said personally...it won't help the traffic problem anyway...
