If you do not think about the future, you can't have one. John Galsworthy,

New Roman" color=#000066 size=4>Have you guys ever heard about the tooth fairy story ? Its a western folklore referring to a fairy that appears when children lose their baby tooth.

In US and UK, when children's tooth falls out, their parents will tell them to put the fallen out tooth under their pillow before they go to sleep,  and then a tooth fairy will come and visit their room during the night , take away the tooth and leave a coin under the pillow .

I did not know there is such custom in western culture until I was told the story  by one of my western friends recently.

But the story  made me recall my own childhood. I remember when i was a little kid lost my baby teeth , i had never failed to perform my small''Ritual" which is to throw the upper teeth to the roof of our house and lower teeth to the kitchen room in order to have neat and beautiful white teeth later .

There is even some small details can't be neglected in the process. You must put your feet together when you toss the teeth, otherwise , your teeth will grow irregularly, my mum used to tell me.

I dont remember since when i put an end to the ''ritual'', anyway now,  i dont need to worry about getting ugly teeth , anymore.

Its so interesting that people around the world have their own customs for various occasions. what are your customs? are they interesting ? weird ones ?

When I was young and lost my teeth, my mother told me to throw it under the bed.
