Ask your boyfriend or your friend or your parents or anyone around you to praise you at least once a day.

Many people name it diary but honestly it is not. You are publicizing yourself or your articles. To me, Diary is sth more private for youself to keep.

Therefore, before you write it, you first of all need to consider how easy for others to read. Someone just likes posting a big block of words with no space and adding lots of colors to decorate their blogs. But it is so confusing and distracting for people to read.

Moreover, please, everyone, use simple English! If you are not a poet or a professor, if you just want to write sth for others to share, please, don't use big words no matter what the purposes are. You don't need to show how good your vocabulary is. You also don't need to sound profound. All you need to do is just to make your points and cut the shit short!

Honestly, some stories only need five sentences to finish. But someone just goes on and on and on and on, for God sake, where is your point?!

Please, don't write ten paragraphs if ten sentences can do the same job!

Big and long words are not necessary unless you know exactly how to use them. It doesn't matter how nice your words are, if you are using them in a wrong context, your article won't make sense!!! 

We all have been a student before. You know better yourself. The teacher won't give you a high mark just because you write more than others. The teacher only does that when your point is correct and precise. 

I don't know how long it takes you guys to write an article. It only takes me a minute because I more feel like talking rather than writing right now.

Plus, I don't need to check the dictionary to find all the profound words. I just use everyday vocabulary, which is more than enough.     

Honestly, I can't finish reading any of the articles posted here.

I am not being nasty, just trying to help.

Rule No. 1: Never trust Chinese-English dictionaries!!! If you need one, make sure that you buy an English-english dictionary (The Oxford English Dictionary is the world's most trusted dictionary!)

Rule No. 2: Never do translations in your writing. It does not work if you write sth in Chinese then translate it into English unless you are a professional interpreter. You have to write in English, speak in English and think in English.

Rule No. 3: Never read old English books unless you knows all the English Morden words. Don't use words like haply, thee, or hath etc etc etc...because you are NOT Shakespeare.

Rule No.4: Please read English news everyday because that will really help!

Rule No.5: Speaking and writing are two different things.

Rule No. 6: Don't just write sth in English about your life. You are not the frog sitting in the well. why don't you contribute some ideas about the world? What do you think about the current education system? What do you think about American movies? What do you reckon about the English culture? What do you think about the Arabs in the middle east? Show people that you know something, you have the ablity to think, to argue and to comment.

Rule No.7: Try every single effort to learn about Western countries' culture. How many types of wine do they have? How many types of cheese do they have? What is the meaning of "6 feet under"? How is English sense of humor different?

Rule No.8: Don't find excuses for yourself. "I don't have opportunities to speak to a foreigner". That is not true. If 1.2 billion Chinese all try to practise their English with 1200 western people, I am sure you have to wait for a long time for your turn. You can speak to your own people. Find yourself a Chinese friend who also likes speaking English and give her/him a call everyday.

Rule No.9: Read my articles. And if you don't know what I am talking about, make sure you check it out on google. I am writing sth which the Chinese media will never dare to write. And I am writing sth which will expand your whole world.

Rule No.10: There is no fixed rules to study a Language. English is more than a language. It is a culture, a type of knowledge, and a whole new world! The eagerness to know more is the priority before any learning!      

My Father and Mother

I take after my mother, but my character is more similar to my father.

My elder sister takes my father, although she is kind, but her temperament is much worse than my mother. For example, when you ask her something again for you are not sure about that, perhaps she would be angry with you now.

My father graduated a college. He once was a civil servant, a policeman, a doctor. He always held two jobs at once. In fact, he was an excellent doctor all the time.

My mother graduated an elementary school. She’s had no any job all along. She is an outstanding housewife. Perhaps to do housework just is her job. She’s always putting everything in good order. No doubt she is a good mother.

I prefer father to mother. Father thinks you should be thinking of others when you are thinking of yourself, even others first; while mother thinks, you should think of yourself first before you think of others. You are poor, if you enrich others, you would be poorer. So you are rich, then you can enrich others. And the fact is, that we are not rich indeed.

That’s one of differences between mom and dad. Sometimes, father and mother quarreled with each other because he always did good things for other people without charge even he paid for other people. Such as he handled cases, cured sick people, especially old people, footed a bill after a meal, lent money or made a donation to a poor student.

short 怎么用？

两个以short这个字为主的习惯用语。In short order. In short order就是立即，马上的意思。许多美国孩子都不喜欢打扫房间。这也是父母经常训孩子的主题之一。下面这个例子里说话的爸爸倒是找到了一个办法，让他的儿子把房间立即打扫干净。他说：

例句-1: For weeks I've been trying to get Jack to clean up his room. He finally did it in short order today after I told him he wouldn't get his allowance this week until he did.

这位爸爸说：几个礼拜来，我一直催促杰克把自己的房间打扫干净。今天我告诉他，要是他不打扫的话，这个星期就不给他规定的零花钱。这样他总算没有再拖延，马上把房间打扫干净了。
