If you come to India, the following four kinds of animals would be heard. They are cows, dogs, crows and elephants, all sacredanimals. I have been here for 2 months and found that it's true.
When you are walking on the street, you can find many cows. Indians think that cows are always fragrant. The perfume emanated by the exudation of the Amytis agallochum issues out of their bodies. Cows are the great refuge of all creatures. Cows constitute the great source of blessing unto all. (Swastayana is a ceremony of propitiation, productive of blessing and destructive of misery of every kind). Cows are the source of eternal growth.
Indian also think cows are sacred. From their opinions, cows are the foremost of all things in the world, the refuge of the universe, the mothers of the very deities and verily incomparable.
So India think cows are the mothers of the universe.
There is no gift more sacred than the gift of cows. There is no gift that produces more blessed merit. "

If you are careful, you will also find many many crows and pigeons in the sky over the buildings along the street. Actually, as the performance present to me from far away is the same, so I can not tell the differencec between them.

I only can not yet find any elephant now. As you know, elephant is really pricious all over the world. In fact, elephant's avatar is can be found everywhere in India, that is the elephant-headed deity. Its name is Ganesha.
Ganesha, also spelled Ganesa or Ganesh and known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, Pillaiyar. Ganesha is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India.Hindu sects worship him regardless of other affiliations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains, Buddhists, and beyond India.
Although he is known by many other attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes him easy to identify.Ganesha is widely revered as the Remover of Obstacles and more generally as Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles (Vighnesha, Vighneshvara), patron of arts and sciences, and the deva of intellect and wisdom. He is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies and invoked as Patron of Letters during writing sessions. Several texts relate mythological anecdotes associated with his birth and exploits and explain his distinct iconography.

If a dog is born to India, then it also would be very lucky. All Indians show their friendly to dog. Anytime to meet a dog, anyone would give a way for it. Several times, my driver wait for one minute to let the dog go away.
