Last night, i saw a movie named "the taste of the cherry ", which was directed by Abbas, a famous director of Iran. The film was awarded the "golden palm” in 1997, the highest prize of the annual Cannes film festival

The film tells that a rich man wants to suicide for he feds up with the life. He digs a hole under a cherry tree, deciding to take some hypnotic and lie in the hole. But he needs someone to bury his body .so he decides to find someone who can help him .Because of religion and other reasons , the men he comes across including Turk，culprit，student and worker of the museum ，all refuse him .In the end, he still can’t fulfill his plan. He goes to the hole alone, lies in it, smiling.

Still remember the old man works in the museum asks the man "do you want to give up the taste of cherry?" I suddenly understand why the film's name is translated to "the taste of the cheery".

Maybe the taste of the cherry represents the life .cherry, sweet, also acid .life is full of happiness and sorrows. Sometimes we just don't know why we should live in the world. Someone ever said, we’re living in the world to atone for we humans have too much guilt. Do you think it right? I just know life is precious. I don't want to lose the taste of the cherry.
