  In addition, the common people’s spending on such services as education ,information and traveling will grow substantially.

   

  To put it in a nutshell,in the future the common people will live a better life,a life of the same standard as enjoyed by those in the middle-ranking developed countries.

  Shanghai Bids for the World Exposition

  It is reported that shanghai has officially bid for the 2010 World Exposition.

   

  Unlike a normal trade fair, the participants of the World Exposition mainly are the governments of all countries and international organization.

   

  The World Exposition is an arena for various countries to display their achievements and prospects on society, economy, culture and technology.  

   

   

  And it is also a grand event where people from various countries gather together(for the participants of various countries )to exchange experience, learn and cooperate from each other.

   

   

   

  Known as the “economic, technological and cultural Olympic Games”,the World Exposition is held every 5 years.

   

  Since it was first held in London in 1851, the World Exposition has been invariably held in developing countries.

   

  If Shanghai wins the bid for the World Exposition ,China will be the first developing country to host the World Exposition.

  The influence of hosting the World Exposition to China is positive.

  This is not only favorable to China to absorb the experiences from other countries,further promote the reform and opening-up policy,especially promote the economic development in Changjiang areas,but also strengthen the friendship and cooperation between China and various countries across the world.

   

  In 2010,the themes of the the World Exposition in Shanghai will be“Better City,Better Life”…………

   

   

  City is a fruit of human civilization in respect of space. More and more people are entering into the city in pursuit of a better life.

   

  The politics, economists and socialists have already focused on the cities.

   

   

  With the process of the urbanization, more and more city diseases become serious. Problems which are advented in the various countries during the development of the cities need to be discussed and researched. But , there was no such a World Exposition on themes of cities appeared in the history.

   

   

  The theme of the “cities” has a universal significance. Every country , big or small, developing or developed, all has its own achievements to display. In turns, they can learn useful experiences from other countries in city development

   

  If Shanghai win the bid,the World Exposition will be held in the center stadium near the Huangpu River in Pudong new areas. The World Exposition will be last for half a year,with the participants of nearly 70 millions.

  From 2001 to 2008,China will invent280 billion yuan for the construction of the Olympic Games, of which 180 billion yuan will go to the construction of the infrastructure.

   

  Such a big investment will be a stimulus to the economical development of Beijing, even the whole China.

   

  The spokeman of the National Bureau of Statistics says, during the 7 years from 2001 to 2008,the average annual GDP growth, driven by the Olympic Economy, is expected to increase by 0.3 to 0.4 percentage point.

  Bush will attend opening ceremonies of Olympics

  WASHINGTON -- President Bush will attend the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Beijing, the White House said Thursday. The announcement quashed any talk of a presidential boycott over China's violent crackdown after anti-government riots and protests in Tibet.

  白宫在周四宣布，布什将出席北京奥运会开幕式。这粉碎总统会因为西藏问题抵制奥运会的议论。

  The White House had been reluctant to confirm Bush's plans for the opening event, although there was no doubt he would attend the Olympic Games. while other world leaders have talked of boycotting the Aug. 8 opening ceremonies, Bush's aides have signaled for weeks he was unlikely to do so.

  白宫一直不愿意确认布什对奥运会开幕式的态度，尽管他参加奥运会是毫无疑义的。在世界其它领导人在考虑抵制奥运会开幕式时，布什的助手就一直在暗示布什抵制的可能性不大。

  White House press secretary Dana Perino said Bush will travel in August to South Korea, Thailand and China and will attend the opening ceremonies of the games with first lady Laura Bush. The specific dates of travel were not released.

  Bush's trip is built around the Olympics, which the White House long has said Bush plans to attend as a celebration of sports.

  Bush then will travel to Thailand to celebrate its long-standing relationship with the United States and confer with Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, Perino said.

  In China, Bush will meet with President Hu Jintao. A key focus will be the six-country effort to rid North Korea of its nuclear weapons capability. Then the president and the first lady will attend the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, Perino said.

      生活继续。生活里一些东西常常突然变得没有依靠。像海市蜃楼一样，那么恢弘的壮大的观望，刹那间就消失不见。  

      和卓扬分开以后，发现自己开始懒散。每天把头睡得晕痛不已。因为心里始终占据着的不安全感，开始频繁地接稿。晚上长时间地写作。持续到凌晨五六点钟才罢休。  

  　  不想见任何人，也不想做任何其他的事情。基本上不离开住家附近500米的范围。懒得洗澡洗头发。穿着旧衣服和拖鞋走在路上，脸色灰暗，头发油腻。

      我想，不是因为和他分开的原因。不是因为我爱他的原因。我只是在失望。然后享受着某种自虐的快感。

  对自己早已灰心。早就清楚自己会选择怎么样的生活和痛苦。早把自己看死。只是再次躲回了蜗牛的壳里面。是这样坚硬而安全，黑暗而潮湿的一个洞穴。我一直寄居在那里。并无其他地方可去。  

      卓扬依然有电话来。不多，但持续。

        

  　　我等着他，看着阳光透过窗帘照在陈旧的地板上。我想，总是有些心情是不甘愿的。没有开始的故事，突然就结束了。却凭空多了一段记忆。电话有时候就这样突然地断线了。拿着手机站在寂静中，确定它不会再响。然后把它放回去。

  English mode of thinking,rather than in Chinere mode of thinking But look at the background here in China,

  and the ability of stndents of Grade5,I have my teaching method both in theory and in praitice .

  For the preview of the text,different stndents are treated in dfferents ways.For some students who know the

  text very much ,they can neglect it .For some,they can write half of it ,and for Chen  Li,I think he has his own situation,that depends on the difficulties of text,his cognition,etc.
